The Star of Morcyth
Through the machinations of an old enemy, James is summoned to appear before the Royal Court of Cardri. While in Cardri, Ellinwyrd the Archive Custodian aids him in deciphering the riddle discovered in the city of Saragon. Unable to bear the message himself, Ellinwyrd sends a scroll upon which is written a single word, Ironhold.
His quest in search of Ironhold leads him to the mountainous region in northern Madoc. There, he discovers the ruins built by the last priests of Morcyth when they fled annihilation by the followers of Dmon-Li, as well as a secret that’s been hidden away for centuries.
An old friend resurfaces from a place of darkness and new allies join to aid him on his quest. Growing in aptitude and versatility, James encounters his most challenging situations yet!

When his tour of duty was over, he joined Pizza Hut as a delivery driver where he quickly rose to become a General Manager of a delivery unit in Edmonds, WA.
Then after a short stint as a taxi driver, he spent two years as a driving instructor and now writes full time.
He currently lives in Boswell, OK and missing the three most wonderful children in the world: Joseph, Breanna, and Abigayle. They truly are the lights of his life.

Poor editing. Grammar errors galore. Some sections on outline form - as in they forgot to fill in the story.

Bon je m'éterniserai pas car je risque de me répéter. Ce livre est non seulement à la hauteur du dernier volume, mais en plus in apporte encore des nouveaux éléments. Certain même pourront surprendre et faire peur dans leur potentiel pour gâcher une histoire. Cependant, l'auteur semble avoir gagné en expérience et il ne fait plus les erreurs du début (sauf les typo, les erreurs d'éditing et certaines répétitions). Pour un roman auto-publié c'est très bon.
Le mot aventure représente très bien ce roman et même rendu ici, cette saga. On voit de plus en plus vers quoi l'auteur veut amener son héros et ça sera épique. En plus, la fin du livre met le ton pour le reste de l'histoire. Rendu ici on ne pourrait croire que l'auteur pourrait se planter dans sa suite.
Si vous êtes rendu là dans la série, n'ayez crainte. A moins que vous ayez donner 1-2 étoiles pour les 2 livres précédents, vous devriez trouver ce roman non seulement satisfaisant, mais aussi grandement divertissant. Quelques idées fraîches et une continuité intéressante font de ce roman une bonne recommandation pour les gens qui aiment les livres d'aventure et de fantaisie.

The plot, and the style of the author has still a lot to improve, but I am rating this book as a weak four, because I can definitely see improvement, I hope it's not too late for the series!
What is interesting is that the author's style sometimes is really nice. He can definitely write exciting, even heart-racing scenes, but then the story lapses into sleep, lulling the book into a lot of word repetition, detailing what does not need details and sweeping things aside that do need them. Sometimes, I really, really feel that the author wrote without actually deciding how the plot should continue, as if brainstorming, then when things got clearer he changed things in a heartbeat, eager to write about new ideas that could extend the story.

I liked most of the story, but didn't like the way James' old friend Dave was brought into the story. Once he was with James and they realized Dave wasn't a mage, they should have to reviewed Dave's role in their previous game campaigns to see if Dave had a different gift. Dave's not fitting in nor making any effort to fit in really made his appearance in the story more abrasive than it should have been.

OK. Not my favorite in this series thus far! I won't say why for it would give away too much of the story and ruin the tale for those who read this review before the book. There are ice knives (very cool!), new/old characters, love interest, deception, a ghost, heartache and last but not least ADVENTURE. A fun escape!

Great story, weak writing. This is the case throughout the whole series.
"Then we do stood a chance," he said with a grin.This quote, lifted from the third book is only one of many examples. I read the series anyway and enjoyed it. The writing did set my teeth on edge at times.

I don't think I like this book. After several chapter I immedietly know the twist and the ending. The only think that keep read this book is I wanna to know how James gonna react. Will he be the same character as before or change?

I really was captivated by the storyline. It kept me glued until I had to finish it. Now I am enjoying the sequel. Keep them coming - This series would make a very good series for TV - Hint, Hint. A definite must read to all those that love adventure, and magic all rolled into one.

James finds, to his dismay that while memories of home are wonderful, even those can be turned against him and all he has struggled to gain. fighting to learn more about Morcyth while eluding the Empire has left James feeling haunted and seeing stars.

I love this series
Truly a very imaginative series. I’m glad the author finished this series in the following two books; sadly, he seems to have quit on the other works he was working on based on this universe, which is very, unfortunately, since they were outstanding.

absolutely the best book series I've read since tolkien.
