I know the story is way below my reading level but the nostalgia level is high. I thought the storyline was sweet and I loved reading this series as a kid.

This book is about how Maddy has to babysit her neighbor's dog while she is on vacation. The dog is depressed and Maddy's friends (Kasey, Isabel, Claire) help her cheer the dog up before the neighbor comes home.
