I HATED this book because the H, while he suffered, didn't have to suffer so damn MANY times, you know?
First off, he cheats in a bad way in the previous book...blame it on the little stuffed devil toy, my foot! Then, he is actually shocked and angered that his fiance kicks him to the curb...will wonders never cease?
What does our hero do in his pain and anger?
Why he goes on a fu&*&** spree for whole year!!
The poor dear.
He then dominates her into admitting she still loves him, he belongs to her, blah blah blah.
I HATED this hero. He's not even a hero. His a DOM from HELL!
Just my two cents.

Re read 2/21 Like I said before this book isn't for everyone. If fact I'm not sure you can get it anymore. On her sight its a paperback that is bundled with the other two. I've got all of them. But I can't explain why I like it, I just do! He literally hates himself. HATES himself and the year they're separated is brutal on him; mind, body and soul. He was killing himself. Writing is good. One more thing, I spoke with the author about this one and what struck me was how the first two novellas, for her, were exploring hate/love/hate. And boy howdy, did she ever. I don't have to like the characters, to like a book. I don't have to like their actions, I don't have to be able to understand their actions. But I want their actions to make me feel something. And this one makes me feel.
Looking through friends reactions, not all agree with me, lol. That's ok.
8/16 This is NOT for everyone. I can't even explain why I like it but sometimes it just works that way with a book.
This is about a guy who has a sort of college reunion with a few friends, one thing leads to another and the whole group are drunk, naked and having sex. Our hero David has to go home to his fiancée he’s full of guilt so he confesses to her. What made me laugh was how he didn’t get that she would dump him. A year passes where he’s gone downhill, he’s lost his well paid job, he drinks and has random sex with any woman willing to have him, sometimes more than one at a time. I found that part unrealistic as the author’s description of him by this point makes him seem like a drunken tramp. This culminates into him losing the plot when he sees his ex fiancée out with another man. He then forces his way into her home and onto her. I found that part to be the most unbelievable of all. Overall this was more like soft porn as there are numerous descriptions of him with all the other women he’s had sex with, which hardly makes this a romantic read. So if it’s romance you’re hoping for here don’t bother.

This ass didn’t suffer enough 😡 David is a self absorbed bastard with zero remorse - yea he’s sorry but his behavior doesn’t reflect that at all. Honestly I wish Evie would beat the shit out of him but nope...weak “I love you, I forgive you” bullshit...he expected forgiveness for the unforgivable
