Friends, lovers, enemies, I've found them all at Bevington College. I've survived the worst that my family, an angry fae prince, and a rampaging Fate could throw at me.
Just when I had everything I wanted, I was thrown forward through Time and cut off from the source of my magic.
Can I get back to Charlie, Gabe, and Darwin? What will have happened to my boys in my absence? And how in the Nine Hells am I going to pass my Early History of Magic exam?
I’m EJ and I’m on a mission to set your imagination (and other things) on fire.
Let’s face it, reality is … not great right now. In my stories, love conquers all, my heroes always save the day, and consent is super-sexy. My characters aren’t just names on the page. They’re the friends you wish you had, the lovers you dream about, and the villains you love to hate.

I’ve been on needles and pins ever since i finished Gabe’s Girl, needing something to ease my fears. Having Quaternion was both a blessing and a curse, because, damn what a rollercoaster ride it turned out to be!! Knowing where Teddy was,and knowing she had no powers left….that i knew of…..that alone had me worried. The solution was simple, thank the heavens, but once she was home, back with Charlie, things were still not well….. But she was damn well going to make sure they were going to be,and those responsible would better be ware of an angry Teddy!! In the meantime, the enemy was plotting…..and evil forces were on the rise. Who to trust, and who to be wary of,that was the question. Teddy díd return with knowledge of certain things, but that wasn’t enough….. So,what would be?
My first wish,Teddy getting back to all of her boys, meaning Charlie,Gabe and Darwin, that wish was luckily fulfilled without her breaking stuff. But the rest,Darwin’s father having future plans for him,her da creating trouble,Phoebe being the spiteful b**ch she is,unknown enemies trying to sabotage them, and só much more….thát stuff was killing me! There were times i wanted to walk into the story and beat people up,that’s how angry i was at them. The only thing keeping me sane, was the fact that the Quaternion was strong, that Teddy and her boys could take it and deal with all of it. With a little help from their friends…..
After reading the final page, knowing where they are now,i can breathe a little easier. There is however one problem they need to fix, badly! I hope Capricorn will give me the solution…..good thing i have the ARC!
I really love Paranormal Romance and I have read many Paranormal Romance stories over the years and this is one of the best ones I have read so far. This is not a standalone book at all and one simply must read the series starting from the beginning which is Teddy’s Boys. We get the conclusion of the story in this book and I think the way the story is concluded is terrific, but I am not going to reveal too much as I hate spoilers.
I loved how we come to understand each of the characters particularly Darwin. I love how Teddy is with each of her boys, she is a little different with each, but still consistent with herself nonetheless. I loved reading about the school and about the Fae lands. EJ leaves the possibility of something more to the series and I like the idea. I loved how EJ Frost links her other Paranormal series Demonsongs to this one, by including a major character from it in this series. One does not need to read her other series, but Neon Blue is the first book and I recommend it if you love Paranormal like I do.
One of the things I particularly loved was how Magick is described in this series and I loved how EJ Frost described the Magick works in this book, it was extremely well done and it fit perfectly with how the Magick System is set up in the series.
Here and there is a a bit of humour that I think you will enjoy in this book.
When you you get to the end you are left feeling satisfied.
I've loved every minute of this series. Teddy is my ideal leading lady, she's tough, powerful and has been fighting for herself for years. But, she also has a soft centre that she isn't afraid to show to the right people, and although she's fiercely intelligent she also is able to bend and yield to other opinions. Her relationships with the guys have some ups and some downs, some darkness in the beginning, but work out beautifully by the end. The books also have a plot, humour, an interesting magical system, some elements of power exchange in the relationships, and a bit of timey-wimey stuff to add a twist to the story. I rarely 5 star every book in a series, but this one deserves all of them.
It's hard to believe that Teddy, Charlie, Gabe and Darwin's story is finally coming to a close. There's been so much growth for them individually as well as a quad, and so much dang plot and story that their relationship is happening against. In addition to still unraveling the mystery surrounding the murdered student from book 1, there are the wider flung issues at play involving the Fae court, Darwin's Dad, Teddy's Dad, alternate timelines....it was a lot of threads. Thankfully, those threads are tied up and resolved without ever feeling forced to me.
It would have been easy to lose the thread of the RELATIONSHIP and connection of the main characters amidst all of that. I am happier than I can say that I never felt that the characters' growth suffered. There were wonderful pockets that really concentrated on the relationship not just between Teddy and the others, but between Charlie and Gabe, and more importantly, Gabe and Darwin. I lived for those moments where the relationship was front and center, and that is where the story really shined for me. These characters were complex. Throw in a reverse harem and the power dynamic between all of them? Oof. It was engaging and engrossing and emotional and so so so satisfying. I could have read 100 pages more of just them navigating their every day lives.
I loved this world, but as sad as I am to leave it, I am very VERY happy for these characters to finally have their very well earned HEA. I hope that this isn't the last story to be set in this world and that we get to see Teddy and her crew again.
I'm not sure why I love this series so much except all the characters are almost like misfits, until they all fit together. I'm usually meh with Reverse Harem, I just want a puddle of everyone in love and this does not give me that, but I feel like there's potential in the future (even though the series is finished) in my head. Teddy is just a beast. I want to be her best friend and I love what a great role model she is. I love that I get new romance from it with Gabe, friends to lovers with Charlie, and enemies to lovers with Darwin. It's the trifecta of romance.
As a non native English speaker, I appreciate EJ's notes at the beginning and end of the books, adding insights to the terms and dialects used in the book.
Such a good closure to the series. I am so not ready to let go of these characters. The last book, was heartbreaking and invigorating as well. I felt the energy that transpired between Teddy and her boys.
I am not a big fan of the Harry Potter series but this one might just be it for me like HP is for Potterheads.
I've been so emotional while reading their story. EJ's writing will make you turn pages. It was such an intense read full of drama, fighting, proving your love, heartbreak, sacrifice and proving loyalty. Loved the world building and the synergy between the guys as well.
Contents: MMMF, third book in a series (not a standalone), dark, list of full warnings at author's website.
Fantastic book! My favorite in the series. I was so pleased that Teddy and the boys finally clicked and settled in to their relationship. I was thrilled with the way she handled her ex-family and the way the ending set up the next book. I was glad to find out who was involved with the student who'd died before the first book, but I felt like the actual 'naming who committed the crime' part was too vague so I was a bit disappointed there. Overall, though, this was a wonderful book that I enjoyed savoring rather than devouring.
OK this picks up immediately from the end of Gabe's Girl where Teddy is locked 10 years in the future with 'future' Gabe & Darwin, & she has lost her connection to "Earth" (her magic); but with the help of Callan (Darwin's father) - who considers her to be his favourite 'princess', she is learning to connect to her Element again. Then Evan Lord (aka past "The Mr Black") turns up with Rachel (Teddy's BFF) in tow, & a few details get explained together with some information (with a bit of directioning towards Capricorn). Also turning up is a 'future' Professor Prince with her brother Robert, who both help Teddy to return to her "real" time. There she finds both Gabe & Darwin have ignored Charlie; she gets angry; they all apologise; AND we end up with a Foursome relationship :) Teddy has a vitriolic face-off with her father (she wins); in 'Fairyland', Darwin's father is betrayed by his wife, but our Foursome manage to save everything they can. Then we get a magical handfasting for the Four & an obvious HEA NB: It's rather more involved than those last few sentences, but you know what I mean :)
A good ending for Teddy and her boys but yet we still leave it on a cliffhanger for the Mr Black.....
I love the way the author has so many secondary characters and Storyline happening but it doesn't overwhelm you. It's hard to explain everything that's happening but each character, each small Storyline contributes to the grand finale and helping the main one close. Its brilliantly done and you dont realise it's being done until you've finished reading.
So. Doctor Prince has to bind Teddy's ability to time walk due to the horrific event that resulted in book threes cliffhanger. But that trip also gives her answers or clues to help her in her present.
They are a true quarternion now. Teddy, Gabe, Charlie, and Darwin.
I love the way it's not instant love or everything is perfect straight away. They work at everything. Charlie and Gabe are very cute together. Gabe and Darwin have years of bad memories to work thru.
I'm not sure how Charlie and Darwin work together. This duo seem to have a basic friendship, happy to cuddle but nothung more. Perhaps in the future this grows?
Teddy has to deal with both Darwins father, her estranged mother and her ex father that tried to (and almost succeeded) kill her in book one, during Yule holiday and their trip to Faery.
As with the previous two books it's a steady read. The ending and the conclusion read at a steady pace but left a smile and a feeling of hope!
Now that the trust and love is growing between the four of them, and the chemistry and intimacy is growing hotter by the day. The author is amazing at being able to hint at what's just happened it about to happen, letting your imagination run riot ! And she's there at just the right moment to write what's happening.
Its a trilogy that is such fun to read and very much a long investment read with a slow Burn RH but the journey and ending are, imo, worth the read!
I want to read the next one about the Mr Black, but I need a quick refresher and I'll be back!

The final book in the Bad Boys of Bevington didn't fail to satisfy. In the final chapters of Book #2 (Gabe's Girl) we see Darwin accepted into the triad and a quaternion being formed. In order to avoid the future Teddy has been Time-Walking into the four lovers must make peace with old enemies, help solve the mystery of who murdered Jade, negotiate fae politics and avoid being killed by a Fate.
The first part of the book is dedicated to establishing how this new dynamic works, sharing expectations and boundaries, earning forgiveness and seeing the characters open their hearts to one another. Whilst I appreciate that the author was using this time to develop new relationships, I personally felt that it impacted a little on the pace as there wasn't quite enough magical action for me. It didn't spoil the story, it's more an "if I could wish for one thing" situation. Once we reached the fae realm and the story became a solid 5-stars.
Darwin has been the half-fae we've all loved to hate but also had a very soft spot for too. We find out why he has been such an entitled princeling with no idea of how to show someone you care about them. All three males undergo significant character growth, with Dar becoming even more of a sweetheart than even I suspected. He works hard to earn his redemption and thoroughly deserves his place in Teddy's heart.
Whilst I would describe the pace of the first half as medium, it most certainly wasn't slow, it picks up in the second half and I read far too late into the night because I just couldn't put the book down. The author has a very warm voice and an unerring ability to convince us of a character's emotions by showing us rather than telling us. I loved all the Manc/Brit expressions, though felt there was a slight overuse of the word "mate", particularly during sexy times. It was a very minor irritation though.
Set in a modern-day alternate reality, the world-building in this series is excellent. We have a clearly defined magical system along with a solid set of "rules" that very much satisfied this reader's curiosity and need to understand. If you enjoy a high-heat PNR with wonderful characters and excellent writing then I recommend adding this to your TBR list.
After reading theprevious books in this series, i needed to know how this would all end. With Teddy in the future and no way back, you learn she will do anything to get back to her boys. On returning, everything is in chaos. I loved her re-connection to Charlie and how, for me he become the lion of their group. Gabe broke my heart when he left, but realized it was a process for him to grow and gain the strength he needed to stand at Teddy's side. Darwin was a whole new one for me. He was so vunerable in this book, you really start to see why he is the way he is. It was a joy to feel his weakere motions. How he started to realise Gabe was his equal with Teddy's help. This story finally brings to light who killed Jade and the dark secrets of many of the faculty. Teddy and her boys are not to messed with, which both mortal and Fae realms finally start to see. I felt some answers were still left in the air and hope at some point in the future another book will shed more light on them. As Para romance and mfmm/RH/why choose are not normally my go-to reads, i have really enjoyed reading this series. Ive had laughs and tears along this journey, but it was a great one to follow.
I bought Teddy's boys right after reading it on KU, it was definitely one for my library! Teddy is a great character, damaged but still fighting. Her "boys" are also damaged but together they form a perfect strong family. I read the first two books again before starting Quaternion and enjoyed them just as much as the first time. I highly recommended this series.
This ending was so anticlimactic. The amount of buildup there was to get there was a lot, and for it to be wrapped up the way it was is honestly super disappointing. There are still a bunch of plot holes that don’t ever get wrapped up and I’m not sure what the point even was??
The relationship between Teddy, Gabe, Charlie and Darwin is great and we get a lot of development there but this absolutely didn’t need to be three books long based on the way it ends. I don’t know if I’ll read more of this series based on this one. Kinda feels like I wasted time on this.
What a brilliant third book! I love Teddy and her boys. I hope this isn't the end of their story though. There is so much more trouble they could get into!
The final book in this series is everything I hoped for and so much more. These characters have found their way into my heart, yes, even Darwin. The character growth from the first book to this one was phenomenal and quite entertaining to read. While I’m not a big fan of reverse harems mostly because it doesn’t seem like an equal relationship between everyone and I love possessive/alpha males, this is one of my favorite series.
The character growth is amazing and real, meaning the characters stay true to themselves. Teddy is still a bada$$, Gabe is still gentle and kind, Charlie is still the protector, and Darwin is most definitely still Darwin.
The characters grew up a lot while growing closer together. They all learned important things about themselves and it was amazing to see. Their relationships with Teddy but most importantly with each other are written perfectly. Everyone is in tune with everyone else, no one is left out or left feeling less than anyone else and I think that’s what makes it work.
This series is one of my favorites and while I was sad to see it end, I couldn’t wait to see how everything tied together. There was a lot going on in this series but even more so in this book and she wrapped it all up perfectly. There was excitement, action, magical battles, and of course plenty of spice. I was on the edge of my seat with anticipation for what was going to happen next because with Teddy, anything can happen.
I can’t wait to see what EJ has in store for us next, her books never disappoint and I’m most definitely a fan for life.
I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I am glad that I decided to read these books. I was not disappointed in them at all when I read the complete set. Teddy is just as amazing and badass as ever. The way her relationship grew with her boys and well as the connection of the boys to each other. There is so much to love about this story: Time travel, magic, alterative timelines, mystery, and of course the relationships. I love the Gabe was still the gentle soul. That Charlie came off as the protector of them all. Then there is Darwin of course who did not change all the much he was still himself. But it has been awhile since I read a series where I did not have any real questions at the end of the story.
Concludes this portion of the series. Rh, pnr, lots of strange magic, elements, royalty, time travel. The writing style flows well and the series is grammatically correct. There are a few things in this final book that I just didn't understand. The whole time jump was strange and confusing. The emperyion being seems to pop up in Teddy? Not her blood line? Due to the blending of their magic? The whole secret spell book was also not really explained at all? I wondered if it was to be explained in future books. There are other books, but this one leads to one called Capricorn and is part of another series altogether. Despite these questions, I enjoyed this trilogy very much.
I think this author is pretty good but in each book there just seems to be something missing. After three books the actual relationhip between all guys is not clear to me they are a Quartermain but what does that actually mean and the relationship of Charlie and Darwin remains platonic? I thought for a second that Darwin and Teddy's relationship was about saving the Fae and the infertility issues but nothing really came of that.
What a fantastic finish to this series. Teddy and her boys have beaten the odds, and even Darwin is entitled to a happy ending.
I love EJ and her books, and this series delivers on all levels. I'm also excited to read the other books in this series, and the extended universe. Keep them coming!!!
This is a great book. I really enjoyed it. I love the explosion in the character dynamics and relationships. So much happens in this book it is insane. The world building becomes even more intricate and intertwined. The characters, I am so invested in. A fantastic end to this trilogy. I cannot wait to find out what happens next in this wonderful world.
This book was absolutely stunning. I loved the way Teddy handled her family at the end. Charlie Gabe and Darwin are just amazing I just adore them and even Callan and Teddy's aunt I liked. Hog even got a mate.at the end. The last paragraph was a shock especially since this was the conclusion of this trilogy. Now I can't wait to read the spin off Capricorn.
