Former Marine-turned-contractor Adam Lake didn't mean to see his new client's girlfriend naked. He also didn't mean to catch his client cheating on said girlfriend and accidentally let it slip and get himself fired.
Stella Hart, now the ex-girlfriend of famous CEO Mickey Kline, wasn't prepared to get cheated on and then kicked out, and moving back to her old condo without a job or a dime to her name has proven far harder than she could have expected.
When Stella's kitchen sink erupts, Adam makes her a deal: he'll help her fix up her condo if she'll let him use it to promote his new home repair business. The only stipulation: they have to keep things professional.
It seemed like a great idea at first, but now that they're spending all their time together, neither one of them is sure they can keep their hands to themselves.
But both Stella and Adam have baggage, and that baggage is about to ruin everything.
Come in With the Rain is the first book in the Berserkr Gym series.
Stella Hart is best known for being the girlfriend of CEO Mickey Kline that is until he is caught with another women by the new contractor Adam Lake. Adam and Stella agree to fix up her condo and keep things professional.
Adam is an ex marine, sweet, caring, hot boxing contractor. Stella is kind and coming into her own. I enjoyed Stella’s character growth she became a stronger independent person. Loved the way Adam was with her and their chemistry ❤️🔥.
I also liked getting a glimpse into Ford and Dani’s lives and Berserkr gym and can’t wait for their stories to be told.
“I want everything with you. But if that’s not what you need then I understand, and I’ll take anything you’ll give me.”
I received an ARC copy of this book and am leaving an honest review.
This was my first ARC read and all I can say is B. Randall delivered.
Come in with the rain is so realistic it made me feel like I was Stella Hart. It was spicy, it was sexy and completely captivating. I literally could not put this book down. I started it on the plane leaving for vacation. First page had me looking around to see if anyone was reading over my shoulder. Of course I was sitting between my husband and my mother in law. I would pull out my phone and read while we were in line for rides. I 10 out of 10 recommend this book. I can not wait to see what the rest of the Berserkr gym series has to bring. Oh yeah did I forget to mention it is a series. Get it January 2, 2023!!!!!!
I officially finished my first ARC read and so happy I was picked for this book.
✨Come In With The Rain✨ by B. Randall
Its about a homeowner named Stella who met a contractor while still living with her millionaire ex. They ended up falling in love while he was remodeling her home.🖤🖤
I read this book so quickly litterally less then 24 hours. The chapters were short, which makes me super happy. It has a release date of January 2, 2023 and I highly suggest, if you are reader to give it a try! . . . #brandall
This book took a twist from the start and I loved it! It seemed Stella had the perfect life until Adam let her know that her relationship wasn’t as it seemed. Stella’s character and situation are both relatable. Her underlying strength really got me since there were multiple times she could’ve taken the easier route but she kept going! Adam is definitely a blue collar cinnamon roll guy! It was so refreshing and I really enjoyed that Adam was the more inexperienced/less confident of the two. Overall Come In With The Rain is a great book I just wish it was longer!
Stella is newly single and hires a man from her millionaire ex’s contracting team to repair her condo. As the tension grows it gets harder and harder to resist the ex marine.
This was my first ARC and when I say I couldn’t put it down I mean I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! The tension and slow burn between Stella and Adam had me hooked! This is a must read!!
It’s set to release on Jan 2 2023! Make sure you get your copy!
I loved this couple and how absolutely gone for each other they were, even if it was a bit messy. And I really liked how sexually confident the heroine was
This was a quick read, a good palette cleanser after binging dark romance.
Did this book make me cry? Yes. Did this book make me laugh? Also yes. Is there a 3rd act break up? Unfortunately yes. Is there a good grovel? Yes, but I wish it had filled out more. (The only reason for a 3rd act break up is for the good grovel/make up)
Adam is so sweet, a big change in MMCs who are overly confident, he’s so smitten with Stella. He’s adorable, until the jealous little monster comes out. Did I scoff at him and call him an idiot? Yes, yes I did.
I’m proud of Stella’s character arch, she’s stronger than you’d expect, a good backbone. She’s sweet, but not a doormat.
The characters were well written, very human, with real emotional moments. I just wish the ending had fleshed out more with Adam and his friends.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ (It is open door, and explicit, just not plentiful. Also very vanilla, but like the posh expensive vanilla ice cream.)
I really enjoyed it, thank you B. Randall
I’m looking forward to reading more books by you.l
Stella is a woman who has what a lot of women would want, a boyfriend that gives her great sex and takes care of everything she could possibly need, except for attention, you'll see, Stella is not the kind of woman that is happy and content with just a little, she wants someone who wants to completely gives her all the love, that doesn't make her feel small or that brushes her off. Adam is a guy that has lost so much, yet he want so much out of life but it's unsure about going and get it. This two "strike" a deal and through so many moments, a want and a need grow, but none of them will act on it because they are professionals. PS: love a man who is not afraid to learn and ask for directions. This is full of sexual tension, but there's not so many spicy scenes, but they are so sensual that makes this a 2🌶️/5
Stella meets Adam when he is on the work crew remodeling her billionaire boyfriends Condo. Adam instantly feels a pull towards Stella, even though she is the clients girlfriend.
The characters in Come in with the Rain are well written and realistic. I fell in love with Stella's drive for independence while being insecure. Adam being slightly broken yet gold hearted is one of the best things ever! Even the supporting characters had me swooning and impatiently waiting to see if they (Ford and Dani) will get their own books! The storyline is a sweet contemporary love story with a mild amount of open door spicy scenes.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes blue collar, happily ever after, contemporary romance.
I definitely did not do things in order with this series since I have already read books 2 & 3 (spoiler alert : they are just as good as this one!) but this was such a great start to the Berserkr Gym series, it really gets you excited about the side characters and their books!
This was a super short read, perfect if you are in the mood for a short, fluffy, easy romance (although it deals with PTSD but it is really not heavy at all which was a bit of a shame I think).
The characters are so realistic, it was a very down to earth read with a broke FMC just trying her best to get a job and a MMC trying to start his own business, it was all so believable.
Their forced proximity also made a lot of sense and it was just perfect for their storyline.
The ending was just a tad too rushed for me, I would have loved this book to be a little longer.
This book!! It had me from the get-go. There are so many things I loved about this book.
1. I feel the description of Adam’s PTSD and how it affects his life was well done. I felt so sorry for Adam when he had his episodes. And I loved how Stella could calm him. She didn’t know what to do exactly except be there and that’s all he needed.
2. Adam’s inexperience was SO adorable. The fact that he actually asked Stella what she wanted and what to do?! Round of applause for you sir! Not just faking it and doing what he *thought* would feel good for her.
3. The fact that Mickey and Stella’s relationship seemed perfect at the beginning and then turned out it wasn’t made it more realistic. You think a relationship was meant to be in the beginning and reading all these romance books makes you feel that way. But seeing a relationship three years later and they’re not living happily ever after? That’s more real life. He cared for her in the beginning. He spoiled her. But relationships are more than that. So I liked that aspect.
I have finally finished my ARC I got from the lovely B. Randall 🥰
*Forbidden Romance*
I honestly loved this book from the beginning. Stella’s character was easy to like. I of course did not care for Mickey really lol. 😂 Stella had it all and then all the sudden her life was flipped up side down. She had to start all over again..
Adam..now Adam is your typical hunk. He was an ex-marine and is a total hottie 🥵. Not only is he handy with tools he also likes boxing too 🥊. He is also a total sweetie.
With Adam working on her boyfriends condo that she was living with it made it hard not to sneak peaks. 👁 Both Adam and Stella we’re goners from the beginning 🥰
Did I expect to read this all in one sitting? No. Am I mad about it? Not even a little. This is the most spicy slow burn I have ever read.
Stella and Mickey have a perfect celebrity relationship right? Turns out not so much, Lacking that feeling of connection in a current relationship is something we can all relate to, holding onto that comfortable home life.
The way that the relationship between Stella and Adam, the two main characters, grows seems so natural that you become invested in their lives.
I love all of the characters in this story and am excited to read each of them. I am hoping to see more of Stella and Adam in the series.
Im going to be honest I did not know what to expect going into this book I was pleasantly surprised with it though. This book is good for what it is a steamy romance novel it was a nice quick read if you wanted to you could read it in one sitting. I was very surprised with the spice becasue sometimes you get books and they say they’re spicy and they’re just ehh i will say this is very vanilla spice but in a very good way and it does take a minute to get to it but when you do you do your there you’re in it.
Overall I enjoyed this book in my opinion it falls into the dirty hallmark category
I really enjoyed Adam and Stella's story. The way B.Randall writes, really does draw you in. I found the way Come In With The Rain was written, was a good, quick pace, giving you everything you needed to keep your attention captured. I found myself living out the story, in my mind, as I read it, and this was down to the description included of the characters, not just Adam and Stellar, and of the setting. This was the perfect way to be introduced to B.Randall's writing and the Berserkr series. And I can't wait to dive into the next one!!
B. Randall’s writing style has me hooked into the book from the very first page, I ended up reading this in one night. Pretty quick read, short chapters. The chemistry between Adam and Stella was palpable. The storyline is a sweet contemporary love story with a mild amount of open door spicy scenes, and completely captivating. And one of the most realistic romances I’ve read in a while. Totally recommend!
Stella is fresh out of a breakup when Adam offers to renovate her condo for photos for his business website. Adam fell for Stella the first time he saw her and she develops feelings for him as the renovations go on. Adam is a Marine vet with nightmares and anger that threatens their new relationship and Stella has a very recent ex to deal with. This is a very quick read with characters that you empathize with.
Stella and Adam are so cute! Their equal fascination/obsession with one another leaps off the page making the slow burn all the more glorious when they give in to their desires. The spice is well balanced with plot, and there's really good depth to the characters. My only disappointment was that it ended very abruptly. I wanted MORE! Lol. I wasn't ready to be done with them yet. Guess I just need to read the next one. =)
Pretty mediocre, what you see is what you get. A little bit of a slow burn but its well paced, both MCs are good characters but the ending was SOOOO underwhelming and I kinda wished it just had an epilouge. It felt like the author had written too much and the editor just cut the part of the book that was over count. It felt so unfinished I literally double checked that I didnt randomply skip 50 pages. Anyways overall very mid but it did what it needed to.
I was lucky enough to be a part of the arc team for this book. Once I started it I didn’t want to put it down. I loved that it was in each characters view. Its got some spice not is not super spicy. It had great character development so that you can get to know the other characters not just the main characters. I definitely can’t wait for the next books to come out.
This was a pretty good read with different relationships, friendships, and sexual tension. Adam is a former Marine that is dealing with PTSD when he catches the view of Stella naked while he's on a job. She's the girlfriend of the client, and well things get scrambled after that.
What a fabulous premise! With this book, B Randall takes a common trope and twists it on its head! Stella has been in a relationship with a millionaire CEO for three years. But they’ve been drifting apart. Enter the handsome contractor who’s renovating her boyfriend’s place... He catches her boyfriend cheating on her and tells her about it. So many romances have the “billionaire CEO” trope, but in this book, that’s not the guy that the heroine is supposed to end up with. I loved this twist! Also, Adam (the contractor) is super sweet and a little shy, and he’s very inexperienced, which makes this a super cute (yet still spicy!) read. I can’t wait to read the next in the series, as it features one of my all-time favourite tropes (woman on the run👀)
Spice was a 3/5 rating for me. This book was so good. Stella and Adam have mad chemistry for sure. Since the first time their eyes met they were done for. The ending was great and very sexy. Im so glad Stella finally let herself feel at the end. To definitely recommend this book.

I’m SO hyped for the Berserkr series! I enjoyed meeting Stella and Adam and falling in love with them as they fell in love with each other. The character development and arcs were on point! I can’t wait for moooore!
dark emotional hopeful fast-paced Plot- or character-driven? Plot Strong character development? No Loveable characters? Yes Diverse cast of characters? No Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated 3.5
Normally I would dislike a book being shorter but in this case I was glad. I couldn’t get into it. Based off the description I thought I was really going to like it but I just didn’t. I like the MMC and his friends but I did not like the FMC or her ex.
