Lifelines, A World War II Story of Survival and Love, is a most remarkable collection of stories and recollections by Jack and Leda Miller as captured and rendered as individual poems by Terry Wooten. Jack and Leda were married during World War II shortly before Jack was shipped to the Philippines where he and thousands of other GIs were captured by the Japanese. Jack is a survivor of what has come to be called the Bataan Death March. These poems tell the story of what it was like as a Japanese POW for Jack, and what it was like for Leda to wait for him at home. Powerful and poignant.
