This is an exciting, thrilling story that will have you
turning the pages faster and faster to find out what happens next! It’s heroine is a girl who can feel what people felt who used or wore items in a museum where she works. She is invited to take a summer internship by helping the police solve cold cases by touching items in a crime scene and feeling what people felt when they either died or were the ones inflicting the pain on others. She and the woman she works with become close and talk about incidents in their lives that seem eerily similar. Then her coworker
is attacked and suddenly things change for the worse. She finds her life is in danger and is befriended by a boy she has just recently met and things are never the same for her after that!

I highly recommend this book for readers of all ages who enjoy books dealing with the unexplained and paranormal abilities. You’ll find Allie’s story fascinating and as things heat up you’ll increase the speed of reading this book because you can’t wait to see what happens next! Allie is shocked to discover why her younger sister is ill all the time and the reason will shock you as well!

This is the first book in a series by Amanda Lynn Petrin and I for one am hooked on this story! It’s fresh and original and I was enthralled by it!

I invite you to come along with me as the story continues in Second Chance and find out what happens next! This is a story you will be telling your friends about and telling them that they need to read this series as well! It’s well written and the plot and
action/adventure is second to none! You won’t want to quit it until you’re finished and then you’ll want to read the next book right away!

Books provide a perfect escape for the troubles we face day to day. It seems we are powerless when we see things we can’t do anything about today but we can change our mind set by stepping away from the troubles in our world and immersing ourselves in a fantasy world that seems so very real. These characters come alive as you’re reading this book and suddenly they aren’t characters at all but people who are real and you are right there witnessing the events unfold before your very eyes!

Do yourself a favor and get this book! You’ll be glad you did for I know you’ll enjoy this story as much as I did and will know it was time well spent!

I was given a free copy of this book from the author through voracious readers only in exchange for an honest review. For people who like humans with powers this is a good book for you. The book was slow getting into the main storyline and took a while to get to where people have powers and explaining them and then into the action, but once it gets going it is good. The characters are very well done and thought out and the concept and storyline are original.

Putting Herself in Danger . . .

This was an action-packed and fast-paced story, with excellent character development and a great plot to pull the reader right into the story line. Drama, turmoil, and suspense blend throughout the pages and keep the reader swept up in the challenges facing Alison Carmichael in learning how to effectively use her Gift of reliving meaningful memories through touching objects. When she is brought into a current case for the police rather than just the cold cases, she will need to solve this one before she herself becomes a victim!

The book is well-written, flows smoothly and holds the reader’s interest from beginning to end. Grab your copy for a wild ride!

Loved it but so peeved to find out I’m waiting for book two! What a cool different story, a spin on young fantasy romance I haven’t come across before. No vampires, no werewolf in sight! I would have loved more of the cold cases to be featured as that’s what drew me but not disappointed in this one at all.

8Life is boring when other people make all your decisions for you. Alison knows that all too well , she wants to be there for her sick sister, Sybil. Sybil needs to go to California but finally convinces Alison to stay in town and take the internship with the FBI to work on cold cases.

This job is perfect for her. A mix of her love of archaeology and the fact she can have a magical sense with these objects.

I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a crime novel, with a fantasy twist.
