Griffin Mason. Hotter than hell and a newly single Dad to his five-year-old, Melody, after the sudden loss of her mother. He needs a nanny, and I need a job. The age gap between us is reason enough to stop staring at him and drooling over every gentlemanly thing he does for me. But the way he looks at me tells me he wants me for more than looking after his daughter. But Melody comes with her own issues, and soon enough, we're closer than ever. Soon the tension between us is too much, but there's something, or someone, in the way.
Oh yeah, one minor detail I forgot to mention.
Griffin is my dad's best friend and totally off-limits.

I must eliminate all the rocks that I have. I’m noticing I live under too many and miss out on things like Author Linzvonc’s books. I somehow allowed “Griffin” or “Daddy Griffin” to get by me.
Griffin’s ex-wife suddenly passes away, and he gets sole custody of his daughter. In need of some help, he hires his best friend’s 21-year-old daughter, Ivy. Ivy is still trying to find her place and purpose but living at home with her father. She’s eager to nanny for Griffin’s daughter when offered up. There’s a little somethin’ somethin’ going both ways, but the fact that Griffin believes he’s too old and she’s his friend’s daughter is a deterrent.
There’s $çhm€xüal tension, jealousy, and a small amount of angst. The spice was good too. I enjoyed reading “Griffin” so much. What an incredible love story! I had a smile on my face while reading. I still have a smile on my face. I loved the side storyline with Ivy’s Dad, Kevin, and her friend Shelby, and I’m eager to read their story next. I’m eager to read more of Linzvonc’s books, period. If they’re anything like “Griffin,” I’ll be up all night.
I recommend this book 1000% This story had me super sucked in, that I finished it to quickly and read it again because I love it! I wanted more! I love how Ivy pushed for what she wanted and how Griffin was so supportive of her and her dreams. They knew the love they have and that it was worth fighting for each other. I really hope there will be more to their story. Or I Hope that Kev and Shelby get their own story to.
A quick and steamy romance. Following the story of Ivy and Griffin with sexual tension dripping from the start. An unlikely couple as he’s her dads best friend and she’s also the nanny for his daughter.
This was fine. The push and pull was repetitive and I wanted a little bit more development with Griffin and his daughter, who he barely had a relationship before her mom passed.

Omgggg this was such an amazing and quick read. Griffin is a steamy, dad's best friend romance showcasing a young, beautiful girl Ivy, working tirelessly to meed ends in the hottest of possible weathers. She always had a thing for her dad's best friend, Griffin, who is nothing but a walking sex bomb. Hotness dripping out of every muscle that decorates his body, and making sure women's bodies squirm when his gruff voice meets ears. Griffin comes to her house and finds something stir within his heart and lower regions for Ivy as he catches her sleeping on the sofa, and that's where their whole journey starts. Griffin is also a dad to a five year old, and Ivy, offers to be her nanny. Which means? She would be there at his house? All the time? Right from when he wakes up till he comes back from work? Yes. Can he avoid her? No. Does he want to avoid her? No. Does he want to ravage her like no one else can? Yes. Can he? No. But does that stop him? The answer is no. Does that make the story hot? Ob.Vi.Ou.Sl.Y. yes.
The chemistry, the hotness and the understanding between them is irreplaceable. The pricking and striking hot energy within them, him pinning her with his heated gaze while her deliberately putting on a show for him just to get under his skin, crackles through the screen, enough for you to feel it. The jealousy sizzling through their bodies is enough for the readers to feel, and if you like hot angry sex? Buddy, you gotta have this. This was another one of the best reads by @linzvonc. Thank you so much for this beautiful arc.
And people, if you are looking for some spicy romance, lust filled, hot dripping sex, and everything starting from the first list of your fantasies till the last? Griffin is the one for you. And oh yes, the end.....the end is what finally makes you dm the author. And then click send.😂

“I swear to god, if he touches you, I’ll break his jaw. And for the record, I do want to fuck you. Hard.”
——
“I wanted to bring you in and bend you over my knee for being so bad.”
This was a fast read. The nanny/dad's best friend trope.
A warning to those who hate cheating: There is some OW/OM drama where they each try and make the other jealous quite a bit. FMC sleeps with another man at one point - she has not had any romantic interactions with Griffin at this point, but she is working for him/flirting with him, and Griffin finds out that she went out and slept with a random on her night off. He's jealous and reacts, but they weren't a couple. Griffin - at a different point in the book after he's already been with the FMC - allows another woman into his house and kisses her and she cops a feel before he asks her to leave. He tells the heroine about the kiss.
Griffin - and the hero in the following book, his best friend - both resisted for way too long. I didn't find it believable that a single, healthy, sexually active male would turn down a gorgeous 21 year old for so long and have so many hangups. Sure, be concerned because of her father, but that type of drama dragged on the entire book.
And while it was nice that he ends up giving her everything she wanted, it seemed to come out of left field at the very end. I think it was more to set up the plot of the next book, and not because the big city was calling.
It was an entertaining short story, although the taboo tension wasn't really there, no matter how much Griffin resisted. The stakes didn't feel overly high since they circle each other and then Griffin is madly in love and can't live without her. But it's very short and I liked it - just didn't love it.
A fast paced and steamy age-gap romance made all the more complicated by the fact that he’s her dads best friend and she’s his daughter Melody’s nanny… And on top of all that his ex (and mother of his daughter) has just died suddenly in a car accident, leaving the occasional-weekend-visit dad suddenly a full time single parent.
There’s no way they can be together… He’s just trying to work out raising Melody while working full time on construction, and everyone would hate them. If things went wrong Griffin would lose his childcare, the woman his daughter looks to in place of her mother and his best friend. It’s too risky. Forbidden. It would be so much better not to give in to the temptation, but can they resist?
Great style and prose, the writing in this flows really well with realistic and humorous inner monologue from the narrator/main characters. It flits back and forth from the point of view of Griffin and Ivy.
The dialogue runs nicely and all is well written and fluid, although a little more description of physical characteristics of the characters would be better.
Also nice to see that it’s the man wanting more than just sex for once and girls taking control/doing the chasing. A really sweet sense of family and, even as someone that isn’t a fan of pregnancy/kids, this was a delightful read and Melody is adorable. I wish it was a little longer and we got some more context and content, but it didn’t feel too rushed or cut off like a lot of shorter stories do.
An enjoyable spicey yet surprisingly sweet read :)
Forbidden contemporary romance, dads best friend, 20-year age gap, this was simply a great story, just an hint of angst and great character development. I liked the confident Ivy with a loving father becoming infatuated with her dad’s best friend and single father, Griffin. One of the more endearing elements of this book was Ivy’s love for Griffin’s daughter Ivy and how that was woven into their love story.
Also a great portrayal of both characters as experienced professionals, relatable, every day people. Griffin worked with his hands, and Ivy just wanted to care for children. Perfect set up for her becoming his nanny and with her expansiveness and time having known him, the perfect fit in his household. Side characters were great, too.
Steamy and just the right length, a warm read of “he falls first,” it gives all the feels. I can’t wait to read about Ivy’s dad and best friend.
Favorite quotes: "Casual. Just Fucking. No way." "Ivy and me... we're endgame. I know it."
Most of my favorite books are when the man falls first and falls hard. Not only that when he's jealous, possessive, and obsessed to boot, I eat that up all day every day!! In Griffin's story you have that and it's also single dad, age-gap, dad's best friend... yes to all the forbidden yumminess!
Griffin has become a full-time single dad due to his ex passing in an accident. He's struggling and Ivy, his best friend's daughter, offers to help him out. Griffin ends up giving her a job as his daughter's nanny. The chemistry was hot between them but they had many obstacles to overcome but mostly Ivy's resistance in having a committed relationship. It was wonderful seeing them work out their issues and becoming a family unit.
When Ivy’s father’s friend Griffin suddenly becomes a full time father and needs help taking care of his daughter, Ivy decides to help him out. She’s always wanted to be a nanny and has always loved kids. What started out as a little help in the morning and afternoon soon becomes a full time job. Ivy is soon spending all of her time with Griffin and Melody. Can they both avoid their feelings for each other when they are constantly together?
I loved how Ivy and Griffin are together! They just worked together so well and Ivy was able to seamlessly come into Griffin and Melody’s lives like she was always there. The connection was immediately there and I loved it! I also loved how they both put Melody first and made sure that she had everything she needed first. It just shows how much they both cared for each other and how they only wanted what was best for the other person.
5⭐ 4🌶️ I am such a sucker for age gap books and Linzvonc has not disappointed me. I need my own Daddy Griff please. When Griffin suddenly becomes a full time dad to his 5 year old daughter, Melody, he soon realizes he needs help to keep his daughter happy and still be able to work full time. Ivy being such a sweet person jumps at the opportunity to help her dad's best friend. She loves kids and always wanted to nanny so she quits her job and helps care for Melody in the morning and evenings.
When things start getting heated between Griffin and Ivy, he knows he wants to make her his, but Ivy is worried about how her dad will react to their relationship. I love books where the guy falls first, and Griffin is a man who knows what he wants.
If you want a quick and hot read, where the MMC is ALL man with possessive tendencies, this is the book for you.
Griffin is Ivy’s dad Kevin’s best friend. When tragedy strikes and he ends up with full custody of his daughter melody , Ivy steps in to help with all babysitting needs. As Ivy and melody become closer she ends up starting an a fling with Griffin, which ends up becoming hot and super intense he’s scared because of the age gap and being Kevin’s best friend but the love they for each other is so passionate they can’t help becoming even more drawn to each other, and up falling deeply in love with each other. This love story really does have one beautiful ending
I absolutely love an age gap trope. It is hands down my favorite. This was my first time reading Linzvonc and it will for sure not be the last. The sexual tension between Griffin and Ivy was everything. Seeing how Ivy gravitated toward's Griffin's daughter and wanted to make sure she was happy and taken care of while making sure Griffin wasn't too overwhelmed or stressed was so heartwarming. I loved the push and pull between Griffin and Ivy where we were literally like, come on, you know you want to. When the fireworks did happen, it was everything we wanted and needed. I cannot say enough good things about this book.
Age gap. Forbidden. My fave. This is a dads best friend story. Griffin is hot and possessive. Yum. He knows what he wants and isn’t afraid to show it. Once he decides he’s going to go for it that is.
Ivy is only 21 and likes to go out with her best friend. She’s all about having a good time and not interested in anything serious. She goes out, drinks, has some fun (wink wink) and repeats in the following weekend.
Ivy and Griffin had such great chemistry. They fell into synch immediately and a family was formed with no effort. I loved them together.
This was a quick and easy read that went by quickly. The main couple was cute and had some very sweet moments. Melody was especially sweet.
The spice scenes were very well written and so was the book itself. A very enjoyable read.
I considered rating it 3 stars but decided to keep it as 4. While I did enjoy it, I found the love interest to be somewhat childish in moments and I got turned off when he was judgemental regarding the FMC sex life. She is a 21 year old woman and you cannot judge her when you haven't even admitted your feelings.
Also.. did they even have a funeral for Melody's mum?

I absolutely loved this book!! I was planning to read a few chapters and didn't put it down till I finished it all. Loved Griffin so much, he was so patient and always doing what he thought was best for Ivy. Not only was the attraction hot but the connection they also had. Loved the possessiveness in him pheww 🥵🥵 And Ivy was exactly what he needed. The way she helped Melody. Great book, will definitely be rereading soon.
Where do I even begin with this review? Let's start with the trope dads best friend. When I read that I knew I needed to read this and then add in who the author is. Griffin is so yummy. That man and his mouth were everything. Ivy was fantastic, especially to Griffin's daughter. I loved that little girl and how easily she admitted to having Ivy in her life. This story will put you in your feelings.
This is a quick read, fun story, Dad's best friend romance. I don't usually read this trope because it is... well, it's weird to me. But I thought I would try something different and see. This was a great book to start with!!
Griffin is Ivy's father's best friend. Clearly there is something that has grown between them as she has become an adult. The push and pull of wanting and knowing it's taboo is so strong. However, as always, love wins.
Age gap...dads best friend! I'm honestly not the biggest fan of age gap but this one worked for me. shes 21 and he's 40. He's best friends with her dad and ivy has wanted griffin for awhile. Things heat up and they realize they can't be apart any longer. super quick read. spice was about a 2. not much in it but it's a short book so it worked perfectly. I love this authors books. Even though they are short, they never feel rushed.
This book was soooo good ! My god why didn’t any of my friends dads have bf like this! I love the chemistry of the ivy and griffin, it was so 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I would totally recommend this book! I loved it, I am so glad it was a happy ending. Ohh my I can’t stop thinking about how sexy he is in this book and what a loving father he is, it’s really sad what happens to melody mother :-( . Nice job I loved this book
This is an easy, yet angsty hot read!! I loved the characters, loved the small town and the story is amazing!!! I loved how I could feel the chemistry between Griffin and Melody and when that chemistry was able to spark, it burned HOT!!! This is the first time I have read this author, but this is not the last. I hope we get Melody’s father’s story!
Griffin 😍😍😍 he is everything , I enjoyed this book way too much 🙈🙈🥰🥰 Griffin now became one of favorite book boyfriend ❤️❤️ this book is awesome full of emotions, Ivy is an amazing girl who will fall for her dad's best friend and what a fall it was 😀😀😀 I loved every chapter in this book and finished like in one day , I wanted to know how their relationship will end 😍😍 Highly recommend if you are into age gab romance 🥰🥰
A quick, spicy forbidden love story. I love seeing Griffin and Ivy and their growth and figuring out their feelings for each other and navigating the “obstacles” they thought they had. I loved seeing Ivy with Melody and just being a family before they were together. And I especially enjoyed Griffin and Kevin. I liked how it didn’t ruin their friendship, but Kevin just acted as a father.
As soon as I picked this up, I didn't put it down until I had completely finished it.
Age gap, dads best friend and forbidden are all my favourite tropes and this book does them soooo well! I loved the back and forth between Griffin and Ivy, and the fact Griffin wasn't afraid to lay it all out for Ivy once he finally had her.
The perfect quick read for if you're looking for something spicy and forbidden.
Griffin is a single dad with little Melody and Ivy becomes Melody’s nanny. Griffin however is her dad Kevin’s best friend and I absolutely love this age gap/single dad/nanny/dads best friend book.
The twists and turns that they go through to finally get that guaranteed HEA are brilliant. The steam is 👩🍳😘 as well! Amazing! Linz has done it again with another book you can’t put down!
I ate this book up! This dad's best friend, age gap, he falls first, single parent romance was *chef's kiss* and Griffin was delicious. The chemistry between Griffin and Ivy was explosive and I loved the way their relationship developed. These two went through a lot especially with Ivy's resistance to commitment, but I loved that they got their HEA!
Griffin himself is just 🥵!! Newly single dad who falls for his best friends daughter; who also happens to be his daughters nanny!
This book was my very first book by @linzvonc, but it will NOT be my last! It had me hooked from the very beginning. I read through the entire thing in one day!
🔥 Be sure to check trigger warnings as some may not be to your liking.
Love love love. I couldn't stop reading. It took me about a day and a half to read. Stopping every now and again. But I just couldn't stop reading. I wished it didn't take her that long to figure out that she loved him but I'm glad at the end that they are together and finally starting that life they have always wanted.
