I bought this book years ago when I was on a consulting project in Kansas City for several months. I wish I'd read it at the time. I'd have found a lot of interesting things to do during my free time in the city. Overall, the section about the history of Kansas City was most interesting. But the book is published by Hallmark Cards (headquartered in Kansas City). So there is a bit of boosterism in the writing. And after awhile the content seems to be repeated in several sections of the book.
