Lynn Shannon is a Publishers Weekly bestselling author of inspirational romantic suspense.
After moving from Texas to Greece, Lynn turned her passion for reading into a love of writing. She lives with her husband, two children, an extremely spoiled dog, and a pair of chirpy lovebirds. Experiencing life in a new country has introduced her to delicious foods—like Yemista and Kourabiedes—which now share a place on her favorites list alongside pecans and Blue Bell ice cream. She also never passes up coffee, chocolate, or the chance to watch cute animal videos.

MY TAKE I've read other stories by Shannon and enjoyed them. This one really jumps right into the action. Poor Noelle has barely gotten into town to spend Christmas with her grandmother. She stops at a local hardware store to look at their trees--and is jumped by a man who tries to kill her! After killing someone else in the store.
Enter old childhood friend David who's happy to have Noelle's experience as an FBI agent to help them with the case. Besides trying to keep Noelle alive after a second attack, David finds his old feelings for her coming alive again. And Noelle is too.
A fun, quick, and exciting read set during the holidays.
"A hidden peril ... Exhausted and overworked, FBI agent Noelle Logan is looking for a peaceful holiday getaway. Her plans are destroyed when she stumbles across a murder victim and nearly becomes one herself." Noelle thinks she is going back home to visit her Grandma. She hopes to relax. After all, being an FBI agent is stressful. But then she finds herself instantly caught up in a situation where a woman is killed. In fact, this puts her life in danger. Can she figure out what is going on? This is the third book in this romantic suspense series that is set at Christmastime. This is a novella, so there is quite a bit of action in this shorter story. I enjoyed it. This book is set in the same town of Cutler as the previous two Hazardous Holiday books. I think a reader might enjoy reading the other two books first, but this could be a stand alone.
I read this series in about a day…obviously they aren’t long books to begin with, but the speed was helped along by great characters and suspenseful plotlines. This time our lead female character was not a social worker or a daycare director, but an FBI agent who took an active role in the investigation. That put another layer of good plotting in this suspense-ridden book. Again, a definite but subtle Christian element is included. I’m amazed how much suspense plus a whole romance is packed into each one of these books. I will say that I don’t think I’d want to visit this small town around the holidays —they have a lot of nasty bad guys that make Scrooge and the Grinch look like angels.
I haven't come across a book by Lynn Shannon that I didn't like. She consistently writes characters with both flaws and good morals. This book is no different. It's a second-chance romance as well as a suspense story. The way she tackled it was slightly different than other second-chance stories I've read in the past. The only downside I have seen is the redundancy of comments on why the romance is untimely, wrong, sure to be a heart-breaker, etc., and she sometimes uses a wrong word here and there. I've still continued to read her books. They're good stories with characters I can both relate to and look up to. Give this one a try!
This is a great murder mystery. Noelle Logan stops to pick up a Christmas tree for her grandmother. What she doesn’t expect is being a witness to murder and almost killed herself. David Carpenter, a local police detective, was asked by the owner of the nursery to meet her after work privately. When he arrives, he interrupts Noelle being attacked. Noelle, being an FBI agent, is asked to help David solve the crime. Will they be able to solve the crime before the killer manages to kill them?
This is a quick, exciting read as Noelle gets involved in a murder investigation and reconnects with an ex boyfriend. Can they survive the attacks on them, and get a happy forever, as they try to solve the murder? Read this excellent and exciting Christmas romantic suspense and find out.
This is a good mystery with a clean romance in a small town at Christmas. The suspense and action scenes keep the story moving. It's a pleasant Christmas read.
David, a Cutler police officer and Noelle, FBI agent, team together while she is visiting her grandmother, to solve a murder. Once again, I couldn't put my Kindle down.
I enjoyed reading this Christmas story full of romance and suspense with a happy ending. Also good to meet the characters who were in the previous 2 books in this series.
This is my third book by Lynn Shannon, and I'm hooked! Suspense, light romance, good clean mystery! Loved it! I'll be reading her next series right away!
Short, clean, small-town pleasure read. Short and easy read, though I'd have preferred it to be longer and more detailed, but I needed a novella for a challenge, so I needed something short. Likable characters and a satisfying ending.
noelle is an over worked fbi agent looking for a peaceful vacation. but when someone is killed and she is attacked her friend david who is a policeman comes to the rescue and tries to help. page turning story very good
I swear, I want to grab the editor and ask why he/she is not their job! Page 36, "eluded" (which means evades or dodges) is used when "exuded" is probably what the author meant. Then, on page 37, "aspirations" is used when clearly "aspersions" is meant.
Lynn has done it again! She gives us relatable characters to cheer for and a storyline that keeps us engrossed in the book! She has not missed the mark yet! I would definitely recommend this book!
Kept me guessing at who the murderer was th entire book. I was actually right, but there was that niggle of doubt because the author had so many suspects.
This is a good clean book. Keeps your interest in what is going to happen next. Looking forward to reading more of her books . I like reading Christian author's.
The three novellas were quick fun Christmas reads. Sweet simple stories but I didn’t guess who done it two out of three! Clean language. No spice. A little mystery at Christmas.
Christmas Peril was a short but action-packed mystery that kept me turning pages! It was my first from Lynn Shannon, but I will be reading more from her. I enjoyed the characters and storyline.
