3.5 stars. This was just a drawn out sexual escapade like I’ve never witnessed before. Like spoiler alert….sex, sex, and more sex. And it got very intense, too. This wasn’t your sweet, 1950’s style nookie. This was like modern day deviance kinda stuff. Collars, plugs, 3-ways, and safe words, oh my! So majority of the story is about these three people and their sexual explorations together. Things get pretty wierd once Ash discovers that she knows one of these men already. And the situation goes from wierd to really strange, and even dangerous. Now the biggest criticism here from me is that there was not enough background for Ash, Crue, or Bones. There was some pretty intriguing references, but none of it was explored, which hurt the story. I get that Ash liked being teased, but I do not. If some of the sex was scaled back a little bit, and that was elaborated on, it would have easily bumped this to a 4/5 stars. The premise was really interesting, the pacing was ok, and the writing was on point, however the lack of necessary character development took away from the experience.

this book was so so so bad. the spicy scenes were okay, but i don’t really like the stepbrother trope or how normalized it is now. it’s basically incest. also, fantasizing about killing people and liking that bones and crue killed someone for her? SO not okay and so so so dangerous. this book ends literally with them plotting to kill someone else…what the ACTUAL fuck. will NOT be reading the next books in the series, even though i was interested in them at first. also, the men in this book not wanting her to work or be independent? ew. and then they made it seem like she actually had a choice in the matter 🙄🤢

If you’re in the mood for pure filth and some deranged men, this is your book! There’s a TW/CW & schmink list a mile long, and for good reason. There’s a little bit of a forbidden aspect thrown in here — with one of the MMC is the FMC’s step brother. Overall this was a great filthy book, with like the author states not much plot! 😂

It does admittedly start at a camp/cabin. There is bdsm and what could possibly count as a serial killer, albeit with little killing. I liked the cover and was curious, although I did almost not pick up this book for ‘raw dogged’ in the blurb.
I will say the book does what it says on the tin. It’s a plotless kink fest with one kill. It’s a quick read but in this case it’s not a good thing. I blanked out scenes. There was sex but, nope nothing. There aren’t any surprises. The warning says step brother so no guess who’s behind the mask.
No danger or suspense because the truth is already known. Bones might have been a surprise but Crue/Crueso. Surely that can’t be a common name? Hold that thought.

The getaway lasts up until 30% when Bunny (I forgot her name) goes back to normal life. Stuff feels like it’s happening at the discovery of the first camera and the realisation they aren’t waiting a year; also wtf. Telling her she can’t sleep with anyone but them and then going see you next year. Haha nope.
Paul was probably the most going on plot wise. Very random and felt like a set up for him just to be offed. I mean, yeah gross guy, but one she used to make the guys jealous. Them offing him was to be expected. The book started getting interesting…
And then they gifted her his severed hands, which she then buried in the back garden?? Seriously? The neighbours see her in a towel but don’t see her digging a hole for a dead guys’ hands?
The rest is denial and acceptance she wants to be with her ex stepbrother. I’m not sure if Bones calling Crue brother was a red herring for the stepsibling thing or if he just wanted to join them.
Yeah, it’s plotless kink sex as promised. MMF. I’m curious about Hotel deviant but this one bored me.

September 12, 2024This did not work for me. I ultimately decided not to give it a star rating because a big part of why I didn't enjoy it was because the type of sex wasn't my kink. If I had read the disclaimer, I might have chosen not to read. Here's a very generic summary.
Ash just wants to get railed by two guys. She signs up for this "Deviant" site that let's you specify your fantasies and then matches you with likeminded people. Enter stage left, Crue and his BFF, Bones. They start within the first 5 pages.
What I didn't care for: the sex was angry, it seemed more focused on the men's pleasure (more BJs than sex), and the actual description of penetration was so limited that sometimes I had to go back because I thought, "wait, did I miss the sex part?"
Here's one line:

This is the crème de la crème of smut. It’s quick to smut. It’s steamy, thigh clenching, taboo, high kink goodness.Camp Deviant is not beginner kink. It’s chef’s kiss kink. Definitely not for the faint of heart. This is not Camp Kumbaya, it’s Camp Deviant. It is dirty, it is nasty, it is dark but all in good ways. The heroine knows what she likes, how she likes it and with whom; very unlike the majority of stories where the MMC/s teach the FMC about kink and awaken a new side to them. Ashlyn is already woke. And I’m all for it. It was very refreshing as a dark romance reader to read about a well versed FMC. The men, Bones and Crue, do teach her some new tricks don’t get me wrong, but she doesn’t start out clueless. This is the perfect pallet cleanser if you’re like me who needs to jump to smut after reading contemporary romance back to back. If you love filthy kink, Camp Deviant is a must read. It’s a short read, so you have no excuses not to. It sort of has Haunting Adeline vibes just tone down the stalking and add more kink and less plot. And definitely not a slow burn. This is hot from the get-go.

Officially obsessed. I could literally restart this book right now even though I just finished it.

OMG, this book is full of pure dirty, filthy, smutty yummyness, the main MC’s are possessive and kinky and to fair there is not much plot but I absolutely LOVED IT! Great if you want a quick dirty story. It does have taboo themes, so please check your TW before you read.

This took me soooo long to read, which I’m kind of sad about, but it was really good. And I also couldn’t get behind the nickname Bunny, but it’s fine I can totally look past that.
There was a couple point where I was like 🤨 but for the most part it was great! The spicy scenes, the insane mmcs. Crue and Bones and literally goals. Like who wouldn’t want to do nothing all day and live out in the woods with two hot asf guys, who do nothing but take care of you 24/7. I think the smexy times would 100% be worth it!

I really should have heeded the advise of you don't need to have read Camp Deviant to read Hotel Deviant, but I didn't and as a result maybe Hotel Deviant won't get read because of it.
The weekend was okay. The post weekend year and all the psycho-ness, not so much.
I'm also not a fan of step-brother smut but I was too far in to DNF.
When we started getting pre-empted with you-can-be-a-feminist-and-still-get-railed I started rolling my eyes coz I knew some bullshit was about to happen, and ding ding ding, that ending for their relationship was just a step above being in an abusive, subjective relationship. Essentially cut off from friends, family, no personal source of income, watched 24/7 and then any man who essentially hits on her, dies.
Yeay, basically wasn't a fan of Camp Deviant. Not sure whether I'll continue on with Hotel Deviant.

I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this! I truly could not put it down once I started reading.
This book is dark with a ton of triggers so please be sure to read the warnings before diving in because the author is VERY clear about what to expect with this and she definitely delivered! This was like nothing I’ve ever read before but I am here for it all the way.

This book was smoking hot! While there wasn't much of a plot, this short story was jam-packed with lots of hardcore sex, the real filthy dirty nasty kind. The sex scenes were so heated and written so vividly that, like Ash, I also had some major thigh squeezing going on!
So, after a year from hell and a breakup with her "too vanilla" boyfriend, Ashlyn (Ash) signs up for a weekend at Camp Deviant, where she can live out every kinky fantasy she's ever had. It's a no-strings-attached, no-condoms camp where anything goes. Don't worry, everyone gets screened for STIs before they are allowed in, so no one has to worry about catching anything during their weekend of debauchery.
After checking in, Ash, dressed in a seductive bunny suit is introduced to Bones, who is wearing skeleton body paint and Crue, who is wearing a wolf mask that covers part of his face. Okay, this is the part of my review where I talk about trigger warnings and there are plenty of them! There are simply too many to list here. They cover nearly every sexual act known to man to brutal violence and dismemberment. Because both Bones and Crue are fiercely territorial and deranged, they have claimed Ash as their own and no one else is allowed to touch her. If anyone dares to try, these men will really fuck them up!
There are three books in this series. Camp Deviant is first, followed by Hotel Deviant and House Deviant. Of course, I plan to read the next two right away. And yes Kady Ash, we did just become best friends!

After long deliberation, Ash decides to go to a weekend-long, local kink camp. Upon arriving, she realizes she has matched up with two guys who share similar kinks as she. This is until the guys banned her from any sexual contact with anyone but herself or her toys, for an entire year, until the next camp. As any logical female, she thinks "Yeah right" and moves the thought out of her head.
As the weekend ends and she goes back to her normal life, she feels like part of her is 'off' and dating normal men just isn't going to work. She misses the times she spent at the camp and misses her guys. Small things get her to realize that the guys may not be as far away as she thought.
After catching a camera in her room, she now knows that they know where she lives, has broken into her house, and has been recording her. Her feelings shift to anger until she has a night in with her boss as he tries to make unwanted passes at her to which she declines. He treats her like crap because of it and she ends up threatening him that she will release the video evidence of his sexual harassment, thanks to her guy's cameras, unless he quits his job. The next day when she arrives to work she finds out that he went missing. Come to find out her guys aren't just watching but also protecting her physically.
The annual camp comes back around and she is not sure if she wants to join her men for a second year. The emotional turmoil that she feels from being with them is too much. After a visit from one of the guys, a little convincing, and some soul-searching, she decides to go, thus causing some extremely hot scenes and a happy ending for all three.

Make no mistake, this is erotica first and romance a distant second so adjust your expectations accordingly. The author does a great job explaining this in the disclaimer. And I did indeed become her best friend! I was so picking up what she was putting down.
This book is H O T! I couldn't wait to see what the characters were gonna do next. These peeps were fire from the beginning. They turn their little bunny into a little monster and trust me……she really did love every minute of it. I enjoyed this book. It's PURE SMUT with no plot. What rubbed me the wrong way is when she faked an orgams because they pushed her so much that she couldn't do it anymore. So instead of using her safeword, she faked it. She lacked communication, but both MMCs couldn't even see that they pushed her so much that she couldn't do it anymore. So Crue, as a dom, failed at reading her body language too. Both men failed. Honestly, all characters made me so mad in this scene. It's the fact that they should have trusted her to use her safeword and she should have trusted them to see how far they pushed her. They also punished her the day after for lying to them because of that... As a Dom, I would have self-reflected on my capacity to read my partner's body language but hey... we can't be all intelligent.
I also which we had more (or longer scenes) of aftercare. I think the book focused so much on the BDSM dynamic that the aftercare was second thought. Although, there is aftercare after every scene and they do praise her and care for her after all and sometimes throughout the scenes.

Sex sex and more sex with a side helping of psycho thrown in!
This had a great story in premise. In practice, the balance was slightly off and this is what caused me to then spend 5 days to finish rather than a usual 2 or maximum 3.
Ash is frustrated with her usual hook ups so goes to Camp Deviant to be treated "like a toy" for the weekend. Armed with a full list of do's, a very revealing bunny outfit, she gets matched with 2 huge guys called Crue (in a wolf mask) and Bones (who has full body paint on).
From the word go, these three are on a pretty much non stop sex-capade and the author describes everything to a tee for us. I think maybe a little less descriptive might have been a bit better here to help leave some to our imagination, but we have several chapters of descriptive graphic sex!
The year between that experience and the one to come confuses Ash as it would anyone, and when she says the line "yes I wanted to be used like a toy for a weekend, not for a year", how did her mind then suddenly decide it WAS what she wanted...
Having said that her character certainly fitted into the trio perfectly afterward and infact became the instigator for the 2 men to use their strengths in their jealous behaviour. In their own terms - their perfect little monster!
Don't get me wrong I'm normally a fan of a steamy book! I just wish maybe a smidgen - 15/20%? - of the description of the sex be reused on the guys characters maybe? I get they're bi, but there's no physical love between them which I was kind of sad about! Learning more about Bones would have been good too. Or maybe how their more psycho tenancies came about, cos that couldn't have been their first....!?
It was an OK read, the author definitely researched her topic! In depth research was done to check on levels of pain, bdsm, etc so definitely kudos for that! And it WAS kinda fun to read, some of the steamy scenes were definitely seat wriggling fun to read. I guess I just wish a little more depth to the characters, and maybe the camp itself could have been weaved thru.

There's a ton of trigger warnings in the beginning of the book
The main thing is that this book is definitely dirty, kinky, and somewhat deranged..
Ashlyn need to get laid not in the way of the everyday vanilla male variety, but a kinky nasty uninhabited man that can feed into her every fantasy. She signs up for a weekend at Camp Deviant where she's not only getting to have the sexual fantasies that she dreams about, but all the kinks without fear of judgement. This is where she meets Bones the tall sinfully sexy man in black skeleton body paint and Crue the delicious muscular massive dominant man with the wolf mask. They're exactly what she wants and needs for this weekend. Each kink scene awakens a different level of sexual depravity within Ashlyn that she didn't know she needed to unleash. In the progression of the weekend her past comes into play that should've stop the events between them, but instead it open her eyes to forbidden desires she has repressed for years.
I hope you know this is just a lot of sex on top of sex with a lot of morally grey stuff that include sex and emotional reckoning that also includes sex and psychotic happily ever after that includes sex. So it's safe to say it's a sexcapade ... I love it and the shocks in this book that you get that really had me like say what now! A good read
