Dan Allatorre wrote three very short horror stories in the Dark Passages book.
Book One- The Jemwaju A Scout group had an adventure planned. A story was told around the campfire. In the middle of the night they ventured into woods, and discovered the story was true as they all witnessed a terrifying scene. The ending has you thinking what may come next.
Book Two - Best Monday Ever Ed Hartford was hoping to win the Business Executive of the year. He won but then found out his wife was kidnapped. Was this good news or bad news for Ed?
Book Three - Dark Questions Harper had been strapped to a chair and gagged for a couple hours. He listened to a man being tortured for a while. He was next or was he?
Dan Alatorre’s venture into horror stories just gets better and better. These three short stories have clever twists and surprise endings. The Monster and the Maintenance Man reveals the true nature of monsters in a way that makes you question your judgment. A Number One Bestselling Author lulls you, and then pounces with a twist of dark humor. The Seer will justify all of your childhood fear of the dark.
This is a delightful anthology of spine-tingling horror. Each would have made a tasty episode on the Alfred Hitchcock Hour. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary, and I definitely recommend reading this book.
Reading the stories, I felt the anxiety for one been able to see what was in the basement , brrr! And the monster? Who's and what is a monster, delightful! Giving you enough goosebumps for short stories, after all we all be invited to a soiree, I will make it to the other side too, don't like goose liver or I had ever been a groupie! You can tell I really enjoyed the book! Dark tales indeed. Thanks Dan Alatorre.
Received a free copy from the author, this is an honest review. Take a journey into the dark places that haunt us, whether it's our own minds that fuel the need for justice against those that caused harm; or the dark and silent basement that holds its own secrets that we tread gratefully around. Highly recommended.
Chilling collection of stories. Unorthodox way to earn extra money for a maintenance man. The story about the well-known author who was quite a spellbinding lecturer had a great plot twist. The last story brought back memories of my grandmothers basement. Yes, she had a coal chute and lights on strings. My cousins and I went seldom downstairs solo.
I find myself having g a hard time to put these books down.there is a sudile strings that go through them. Tell you what you keep writing them and ill keep reading them sincerely Christine Dunne Harlingen tx
I originally liked this author's work, but I found this set lacking. The narrators seemed to ramble. It was more like I was hearing the person recount the story rather than experiencing it myself. I lost interest often.
These stories were well-written. The narrative voice was well developed, and the characters were believable and relatable. I will explore other works by this author.
Dan Alatorre present 3 more short tales of horror that will leave a smile on your face. These are quick reads and quite enjoyable. Enjoy this and the other books in the series.
