Desert Outlaws MC #2

Trigger's Forever

Rate this book
Trigger

A few months of pleasure that’s quickly ripped away from him.

After growing up in the foster system, Trigger never pictures himself as a family man. He instead finds the family he needs through the club, his motorcycle club. Imagine his surprise when he catches the attention of his late club brother's daughter. It was only supposed to be for fun, but one night changed everything. Trigger's every desire now hangs in the balance, just out of his grasp.

Pebbles

For as long as she can remember, Pebbles has wanted to open her own dance studio. Growing up around the badasses in her father’s motorcycle club, she was forced to learn how to be strong and independent. With a mother who could care less what she did, Pebbles took care of herself and did what she had to in order to survive. Becoming a stripper wasn’t at the top of her to-do list, but she easily slipped into the role. Pebbles can handle herself on and off the stage, but can she control herself when a biker with honey-brown eyes sets her body on fire? And what will happen when forces beyond her control threaten to destroy the relationship they build?

Can Trigger convince Pebbles that she deserves happiness, or will Pebbles continue to go through life convincing herself that she isn’t worthy?

If there’s one thing about Trigger, he doesn’t give up easily.

It gets better

I liked the book in the beginning and end. I really liked Trigger until he made a comment that pissed me off. "The cashier is a twenty something blonde. Pretty enough, but not pretty enough to take my attention away from Red". Really! So if she was beautiful, Red would have been history? This author makes all the men seem like Cheater's. Between the club and strip club, they can get it anywhere. As for Red. Her playing around with Trigger's emotions drive me nuts. He just followed her around like a lost puppy and she loved it. Now her comment about a sales girl made me hate her. I get why she was mad but, she is a two faced. When the sales girl hits on Trigger and in the car, Red calls her a hoebag. Ok, Red's a Stripper who grinds on men for money. That says hoebag to me. How many men probably had wives at home pregnant while she grinds on them ugg. Anyway, the drama throughout was good. But that kind of wrapped up way to quick though. Maybe in the next book we will read about it. I skimmed through alot of it because of therapy sessions. To boring. Hopefully, the next book is a bit better.

This is the 2nd book written by Bailee James in what I hope long running series about the men of the Desert Outlaws MC, their women and their friends. Note: I highly recommend reading Book 1 (Flame’s Touch) to learn more about the characters and the situation that occurs in the beginning of this book. Trigger and Pebbles have a fun friends with benefits relationship and then 2 things happen. 1 good and 1 devastating. When the devastating situation occurs, Triggers realizes he loves Pebbles but she’s not in any shape to think about a relationship, but he perseveres, determined that someday they will be together. A very heart-warming story.
Bailee has written a story with fascinating characters, and I want to learn more about each and every one of them. While this story only gives a quick glimpse at the MC itself, it’s a good intro to the cast of characters and look for forward to learning more about the MC in future books.

Trigger’s Forever deals with the aftermath of Pebbles’ (Heather’s) violent sexual assault (which occurred in Flame’s Touch - book 1 in the Desert Outlaws series). When Pebbles’ is being treated in the hospital she admits she’s in the early stages of pregnancy - an admission that fills Trigger, the expectant father with hope.

Prior to the assault Trigger (Jamie) and Pebbles were causal lovers, neither of them were looking for anything more permanent. But Pebbles’ pregnancy - with twins, no less, changes that in an instant. Well it does for Trigger, whereas Pebbles is far less enthusiastic about his affections. Believing they come from a place of sympathy and guilt, as opposed to a place of longing.

Trigger’s Forever presents a really tough subject in a sensitive and thoughtful manner. In a short space of time I’ve come to genuinely adore Bailee’s MC characters - and I just know I’ll be seeking out any new releases from this series as soon as they are available.

It was ok, a bit drawn out & boring. The danger is sorted in one sentence!

I did like this book, but it seemed to go on forever, with nothing happening. Apart from Trigger/Jamie and Pebbles/Heather having stupid misunderstandings. I felt like I was reading about teenagers. Does he like me, does she like me. Just flaming talk to each other!!! 😡😡

After Pebbles was brutally raped in the last book, she finds out that she’s pregnant to Jamie. She doesn’t speak to him at all at first, as she’s suffering trauma, but she talks to Ghost, the doctor and the nurses. I found it a bit strange, why it was only a few people that she wouldn’t talk to. The whole book is about their feelings and it’s boring. They don’t talk to each about their feelings so there’s a LOT, of misunderstandings. The danger which I had high hopes for doesn’t come to anything, and is sorted out really fast. So disappointed.

Amazing. This book is simply awesome. I could not put it down. I had to know what happened. Pebbles is recovering from being kidnapped and assaulted and she struggles with it. But Trigger never gives up. He is willing to show and wait for Pebbles to know how much he loves her. I love the chemisty of the couple. And the Brotherhood and how they are not only there for Trigger but also Pebbles as her Dad was part of the club. I love the side characters and how you could not help but also fall in love with them. This book has all the emotions. I couldn’t put it down and I can’t wait to see what happens next. I highly recommend this book.

Holy Smokes!!🔥

I really loved this book!! It broke my heart to see Pebbles going through everything she did. She definitely struggled to get back to the person she was before the kidnapping. OH Trigger you melt my heart I just loved the way you were so patient with Pebbles whatever she needed you provided you didn't push you just went at her pace. I really feel this helped her heal. The whole family was there to help her. I can wait for the next book actually I'm greedy and need all of them!! Bailee James is a new author and she's fantastic I highly recommend her!!

Trigger's Forever is book 2 in the Desert Outlaws MC series written by the talented author Bailee James. This is Pebbles and Trigger story!!Heather and Jamie were so perfect for one another and a complete joy to meet, I loved their story so much! This book had a great story line full of great characters, action, suspense, banter, danger, lots of tension, babies, hot bikers, strong ladies and romance. Totally recommend this story! 5⭐ It's a book worth picking up!"

Loved it

This story was told with care and insight when someone has experienced a very traumatic event in their life. Trigger realizes just how much he cares about Pebbles and has the patience to help her during her this very difficult time. Bailee has taken great care in how Pebbles had the courage to seek the help she needed to help her deal with what happened. Please note the content warning at the beginning of the book. If you read the first book in this series it also addresses the subject warning. Well done Bailee!

Amazing Read!

Absolutely loved book 2, could not put it down. There are dark topics covered throughout the book - please make sure to read the disclaimer at the begin of the book before starting.

Pebbles story show the struggles of going through a tragedy and trying to rebuild her confidence and control over her life - while having Trigger be her rock.
Their relationship may have been casual before the incident but we get to see it grow!

I’ve read both Bailee’s book in only a few days and can’t wait to read her next book one it’s published!

Good book

The first 1/3 of the book was a 3 star, the last 2/3 was a 5 star (higher if I had had a higher score to score it). The only thing that messed up the first 3rd wasn't in storyline but in choice of how to put it out . I'm not a fan of going back and forth in time for a storyline because it takes me out of the story. It did that here. However, I still love the characters and the storyline and the community feel of the characters. I know book 3 is Ringer and Lilah. But I can't wait for Ghost, tiny, Bull and even lyric to get their books.

I really enjoyed these 2 books. My biggest gripe is how much is going on with the other characters, as well as the main two. I love interconnected standalones more than anything, and laying the foundations for the next book is crucial in those. But with this series there’s SO much going on with other couples that is just glossed over, and other information gets swept up with it. I don’t know whether this is a tactic to get you to read the next, but considering the whole storyline of the couple is laid out already it definitely doesn’t work great

I love Pebbles and trigger!

Pebbles and trigger are.such an awesome couple! Love triggers patience and Pebbles strength! They compliment each other beautifully. Through so much he was just there for her, even when she couldnt even speak to him. Everything was handled in such an awesome way too. Really awesome book! Bailed James smashed it out the park again with this one. Can't wait to see which of the awesome could are next! Xx

I was so excited for this after the first. This book was a disappointment. The character development and plot line was under developed. I felt like trigger had the same inner voice as flame. I don't feel like I could connect at all with pebbles. And it seemed like alot of the emotional inner dialog was flawed and unrealistic. It was a little scatter brained and jumbled. It seems this author didn't put as much love and attention into this book as they did in the first.

Another amazing book

Wow this is.Baileys second book and she wrote another 5 star book. This book may not be for everyone but give it a chance. It has you laughing one minute, then you may have tears. Of course since it is a romance book. It ends with a happy ending. I am definitely waiting for her next book to come out she had me hooked on this series from the first book.

Trigger's Forever

ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT....Bailee James's writing is so raw and real.... I get lost in her stories... Her writing is so expressive it's like you can feel the feelings of the characters like they are your own friends or families.... I cannot to read Ringer & Lilah's story and Bull & Winne's.... So Excited!!

A True Survivor

Ms. James can write about tough subjects with such realism, yet respectfully. I love that this book faces on what happens after. There are stages to healing and Ms. James addresses all thoroughly. I love that we have a front row seat to the therapy that Pebbles is going through and thrilled and cheered when she made it to the other side. Loved this book!

Book two in the Desert Outlaws Mc series. Trigger loves his freedom and his club. So when he falls for Pebbles it’s a new feeling he can’t explain. When she gets kidnapped it’s a game changer for him. Broken and lost she can’t find her footing. It’s up to Trigger to heal her and bring his love back. Person add on to the series.

Trigger’s Forever by Bailee James

This is the second book in this series. It is the story of Trigger and Pebbles. It tells how after her rape Pebbles has many things she has to work through. Both about the raps, her being pregnant with twins and her parents. It had many thought provoking areas. I would recommend reading this book.

True love

Pebbles was brutally attacked and raped. Trigger was doing everything to take care of her and now they are having twins.
Pebble's is going through a lot withdrawing friends and family. With the help of her therapist she is returning to her old self.
The Desert Outlaws are a family and no one messes with them. Highly recommend this series

Red and Jamie

Ah! This book was perfect! My heart hurt for Pebbles as she navigated her assault and having Trigger there to help her was everything. I am so glad things worked out and she was able to have the life she always wanted. I love that we got to see the past of how they got together, so good! Steam was good!

WTF happened to Henry? Last time we saw him was when Pebbles was in labor at the clubhouse when all the chaos was happening. They took all the women to the hospital for safety, but no mention was made of who would look out for Henry, and he was never mentioned again, not even in the epilogues. Poor, abandoned Henry

Fantastic story!

I’m not sure where to begin without spoiling anything! This was another fantastic book in the series! I have loved Pebbles since her appearance in the last book, Flame’s Touch. Her story is heartbreaking, but hopeful at the same time. Trigger was the perfect hero!

This is a follows on from the happenings in Flame’s Touch with some over lapping dialogue.
The book covered the aftermath of the kidnapping etc.
It’s a long recovery journey and it covers trauma and counselling.
It’s well written and well researched.
A little bit gapping in some places as the story line seems to jump a bit.
All in all a good read.
