This book was very helpful, though I did not find that it was so much about ADHD. It was a very thorough explanation of exactly how to clean and how often, which I thought was great. You don't need to have ADHD to benefit from this. It had many useful tips and I think one way this benefits people with ADHD brains is that we sometimes simply don't think about cleaning certain things or the proper way to do so. The zone cleaning method is one I learned about before, and it was a useful reminder and motivated me to get back into it. I listened to the audiobook and I think the narrator could have sounded more personable. Also, I haven't been able to find the resources mentioned in the book anywhere online.
Time to fire my professional cleaner! I downloaded this book as it was free and did not expect much as it isn't a topic I would normally choose as I don't enjoy cleaning nor do I have ADHD. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. The book is very well written and gives actionable tips and tricks on how to make cleaning your house/apt much easier and more manageable. I also like how the author uses all-natural, easy-to-make cleaning products which would make my house healthier. Well worth reading and I will be implementing her fast, simple, efficient cleaning system in my house in 2023.
This book contains some wonderful ADHD-friendly tips for getting the overwhelming task of cleaning done. It has been written with neurodivergent people in mind and is easy to read and refer to. I love the chapter summaries and the use of brief paragraphs and bullet points to break up the information. It also offers readers a free resource file that contains some useful checklists and schedules that you can use when implementing this cleaning system. A great, helpful read.
I have found this book so informative and interesting. Now I have changed the way I attack my cleaning and it certainly is both more efficient and timely. I wish I had this to refer to when I was a youngster. The book interested me at first due to ADHD in the title and I thought I would read it before referring on to family and friends. I certainly will be doing that as it is an easy read and Lily has made it quite visual as well.
I just printed the resources included with this book. I’m eager to get started and see if this will help me. I’m a recently diagnosed adult woman who always thought that there was something wrong with me. My brain runs and runs but nothing ever gets done. At least, not like I would like it to get done. Here’s hoping!!
I highly recommend this book to anyone who feels overwhelmed by cleaning tasks. The author's, fast, simple, efficient, cleaning system is a game changer for those with ADHD. With this book, you’ll learn how to transform your cleaning routine from a source of stress to a manageable part of your day.
Decent book. It would probably be more helpful for someone who has never cleaned anything in their life as I really didn’t need the step by step instructions on how to effectively clean surfaces. I did gain a few good tips to streamline my cleaning routine, though. I suspect the free book containing cleaning schedules, pet safe essential oil info, and cleaner recipes will be more useful though.
Gave simple ways for you to begin working on cleaning efficiently. I am always distracted and this book gave me some great advice that I believe I can work with to get my cleaning done without feeling so overwhelmed that I don't do it! Starting with baby steps at first and going to work my way from there. I can't wait to start on this!
ADHD Solution Deck:Cleaning BY Lily Beacham is detailed for easy reading and understanding. A concise step by step process, which had me enthused to take this approach, where lack of time is quickly removed as an excuse to not fulfil this amazing guideline. Thank you.
This book is an extremely easy book to read. Great ideas and easy to follow for someone with ADHD. Even if you don’t have ADHD it’s very inspirational and leaves you wanting to clean with a few new ideas to make your life easier. I’m off to buy more microfibre clothes.
I loved this book! I just went through the Kindle version...am so impressed order the paperback- I love to highlight and use post-a-notes. I'm hoping that potential buyers don't see ADHD in the title and ignore this gem. This "how to" is really amazing!
I loved reading this book! Having ADHD myself, I really liked that it was a good length and didn’t go on and on. The system itself is fabulous! Rather liked the added bonus at the end with checklists etc! Well done!
Solid little workhorse of a book. Good strategies for those of us who look at a messy room/house and feel so overwhelmed we’d rather hide under the bed than even start to try to clean. If you need help making a plan of attack to clean, this will help.
Gleaned a bit of useful information but it was not what I was looking for. I wanted detailed lists and instructions to follow and this just didn't have them.
