Dying has never been so easy.

Welcome to Book 4 of the Exploited Blood series!

Chris and his crew continue to traverse an East Coast that's packed full of terror. Every step they take seems to be blocked by something that wants to kill them. That something isn't limited to the undead either. Chris and Lynn aren't your average immortals though. Rather than spending their time avoiding the sun and torturing mortals they choose to stand tall and make a difference. The big picture is the only one they're interested in. It may be the one that gets them killed.

Living in a lighthouse as a child led me early to a love of reading. Despite what you may have been told the life of a lighthouse keeper's son is not all Glamour and Parties. There's a lot of time when there really isn't much to do besides wonder if the fog horn has finally made you deaf or watch your dad pull fishing lures out of different parts of people's bodies. (You'd be amazed!)

Two of my favorite houses growing up!

description

I read. I read a lot. We had a 'reading caterpillar' around the room at my school where every time you read a book you put your name on your color paper and hung it up. The teacher had to give me two colors because it was looking more like a worm than a caterpillar. I devoured CS Lewis before moving on to Tolkien. Reading has continued to be a big part of my life. I've moved into Alternative Realities by guys like Stirling and my guilty pleasure is Zombie novels. I can't seem to get enough of them!

I like reading about the extremes people will go to to survive. The ones who can rise above the rest and keep their sense of right and wrong. When humanity crumbles around them these flawed heroes stand tall and try to make their way. They go from struggling to pay the phone bill to struggling to keep themselves and others alive. I like to see how this either hardens or breaks them. I think these stories speak at a very primal level. I enjoy the journey greatly as I get to tag along seeing how the survivors manage and how the experience forges them into something more than they were.

I look forward to sharing the journey with you all!

Sincerely,

R S Merritt

Highly recommended

This series has been a joy to read. Unpredictable and fast action. The main characters are very interesting and often make you wish you could be one of them.

Holy plot twists Bat Man!
I was seriously disappointed when I finished this book. I wanted more!
I am sad that there’s only one more book left in this series, however I’ll deal with that when the time comes.
As I do with most if not all reviews I give, I don’t like going into details about the book, that’s what the, about the book is for. You’re just gonna have to take my word that this has been an amazing unique universe I find myself in. With that said, this one was a lil different. The vibe was different. It was more detailed? Than the first 3. I can’t really explain it. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely loved every minute of this book. The multiple plot twists, WOW! Left me speechless, cringing and shouting YES! That final chapter though WMD…..ya sure know how to leave a reader hanging man. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book, even if it’s the last one 🤬 cheers fellow readers

Brilliant series!

Really like this series, it's probably in my top 10 and I've read hundreds of books over the years. Great characters you grow to love and great story. My only complaint is that the books aren't coming out weekly! 😂

Very entertaining

An ancient race of vampires who fancy themselves as gods have decided the humans need to be thinned out to better control. A virus was created to kill off a portion, but something went wrong. Instead of of some just getting sick and passing away, they became mindless vampires. Attacking every human they could and thereby infecting numerous other humans. Hmmm, best laid plans.
There a few who are immune to the virus. Thus the story of Chris begins. Surviving in a world of mindless vampires.

Good!

As I previously said in previous critics, lost one star due to the lack of use of commas in a lot of phrases, not tight enough proofreading. And I'll throw into that “too much incarceration”. I really would like to see less of those, even if the conditions are different each time, it smells a little too much as a “recipe” for me.

But, nonetheless, this is a good series and this is a good author that would both be great (5 stars) if it wasn't for that (and the fact that minor characters could have been improved a little more by developing them just a bit more, even when they are not here for a long time).

Another great addition to the series

I'm officially addicted to this series. I can't believe it started with a guy almost becoming a doctor getting bit by a zombie then meeting a vampire. turning INTO a vampire then battling zombies, werewolves and whatever else all over the world and coming back to clean the infected and rebuild . I can't wait to start the next book.

I am loving this storyline. I hope this one evolves for some time. If you have not read this series yet I suggest you do, or any of his books are very good. R S Merrit, thankyou.

What an absolutely brilliant series . It's a different take on the zombie apocalypse but it's an absolute page turner. I would definitely recommend this series.

Exploited Blood Series

I am really enjoying this series. I love all the detail, but the non-stop action is wonderful. The primary characters are endearing and believable.

The tension gets ratcheted higher and higher the further I get in to these stories. Well done. I’ll finish this then start the next book.

A middle book but a good one!

I have dragged out the length of time it took me to read this book. I like Chris and Lynn. I also realised that this book would need some new characters to start any rebuilding. And yep, there's many newer characters and a new
Threat!

Book 4 is just as much fun as the previous books. If you like zombie apocalypse stories and a dark sense of humour. You won't regret picking these up.
