Karlotta thought she had it all when she married the handsome, hood-rich, charismatic Capone. He was everything she wanted in a husband and more, so when he proposed to her a few days before Christmas, she didn’t think twice about saying yes. Karlotta just knew he was the one for her…but that was before things quickly went from sugar to shit—and before she found herself in the arms of his homie, Real.
If you're looking for a steamy, holiday-themed tale of lust, love, and lies, then look no further. This African American urban romance will leave you flipping pages ‘til the last jaw-dropping scene.
Jade Jones discovered her passion for creative writing in elementary school. Born in 1989, she began writing short stories and poetry as an outlet. Later on, as a teen, she led a troubled life which later resulted in her becoming a ward of the court. Jade fell in love with the art and used storytelling as a means of venting during her tumultuous times.
Aging out of the system two years later, she was thrust into the dismal world of homelessness. Desperate, and with limited income, Jade began dancing full time at the tender age of eighteen. It wasn't until Fall of 2008 when she finally caught her break after being accepted into Cleveland State University. There, Jade lived on campus and majored in Film and Television. Now, six years later, she flourishes from her childhood dream of becoming a bestselling author. Since then she has written the best-selling "Cameron" series.
Quite suitably, she uses her life's experiences to create captivating characters and story lines. Jade currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. With no children, she spends her leisure shopping and traveling. She says that seeing new faces, meeting new people, and experiencing diverse cultures fuels her creativity. The stories are generated in her heart, the craft is practiced in her mind, and she expresses her passion through ink.

My Sentiments:
Well, all that's left to say is sometimes friends will have one shaking their heads and saying wow, as it was for Capone and Real. Poor Karlotta seems to be caught right in the middle of it this drama by the time the story comes together with all of the twists and turns at the end of book 1. So if you, the reader, are in for 'abuse, cheating, and drinking'...this story is for you. Remember to continue with book 2 to see where this author will take us.
Great Read...Capone Got What He Deserved. I Was Shocked To Know That Capone Killed Real's Baby Momma. I Always Had A Feeling Capone Was Jealous Of Real. Capone Knew Real Was The One Interested In Karlotta From The Beginning But He Got With Her Anyway So I Don't Even Feel Bad About Real Messing With Her. I Don't Think It Should Have Been A Standalone Cause Of The Way It Ended. I Just Feel Like There Are Questions Left Unanswered. Maybe There Will Be A Spin Off Cause I Would Love For Real And Karlotta To Still Somehow Get Their Happy Ending. All In All I Love It! ❤❤❤
The ending…ugh. The blurb is misleading. Karlotta and Capone are married and have been for years. She starts cheating with his friend Real. Capone is cheating on her, and Karlotta never leaves him. Karlotta is a confused doormat. That’s basically why he married her. The ending is not one I would want for a holiday book, and there’s barely any holiday. Christmas is mentioned but I don’t recall it being celebrated on the page.
Speechless!! To be honest I want to be so mad at the ending but I just can’t. Latto made me so mad so much like girl if dumb was a person. Let me say this I know love makes you deal with stuff you never thought you would but nope I should have been out. Sometimes I dislike these books where they have the women so blind and stupid that they settle for anything when they know they deserve better. Overall good read but the ending yeah no
Jade never disappoints me when it comes to her books all her characters are raw and unique they say Karma has no date in this case Capone got his karma for how he treated his best friend Real and his wife Karlotta hopefully in part 2 Karlotta learns from her mistakes and valves her self worth cause she deserves happiness after dealing with Capone trifling self
Capone and Real were each others Day-1s! They both had eyes for the waitress in the diner , but Capone approached her first! Karlotta fell fast and hard until her dream turned into a nightmare! What happens when your day-1 was never your day-1? What happens when the past tragedy truth is revealed? A good read!
I would have never thought he would really kill his own best friend baby mama though. That took me out in the end. Secondly, Kay and her feelings was bothering me cause how you gone say you thinking of ways to kill him but yet crying extra hard when he is actually dead. You didn’t want him and he showed he didn’t want you.

A different kind of Holiday read. The drama that occurs in the storyline is so surprising. That secret that Capone was keeping, became his down fall. The abuse, cheating, and drinking his life away.
Fact of the matter! Self defense! It may have been over kill but that dude had it coming. Lotta can play stupid if she want to. That fool just pulled the ultimate okey doke on her ass. Gave her the death become her stairs. Lololol
This book is a great page Turner. I couldn’t stop really it til the end. I really hope you give us a follow up on Real and Karlotta. Capone was a dog and he got what he deserved. Great Job Jade
Ma’am this can’t be a standalone. There’s no way you ended it like that. I’m damn you could have advanced 2 yrs later or something!!! The ending was trash but the rest was awesome!!
Even though this book was good and kept me on my toes, I just don't see how this was for the Holiday season. Maybe the author had a deadline or she had a Grinch mentality when she wrote it.
Wow. Real should have seen that Capone was a snake. The jealousy was real and right in his face. But why why would you end this book like that.. OMG!! Hahahha!!
The only thing I can say is WOW! Jade you did an number on this book! The end threw me off because I didn’t wanted it to end like that, but man I need part 2.
It was really good. Wasnt expecting the end but Capone did say something questionable earlier in book. Was hoping for a happy ending. Planning to read part 2 next
How can you just end it like that? Got my anxiety and blood pressure up. Ma'am I need you to fix this. Had my jaw on the ground almost the entire novel.
