I love the idea of a book about making faces--and this one does have good selection of moods accompanied by very cute illustrations. However, I found the the expressions on the faces felt a little small, and my daughter has difficulty registering them as different and corresponding to particular moods.
I LOVE this book mostly because Violet tries to face all the faces and she's so cute it makes my mommy heart melt. :). It is a sweet book with endearing illustrations and I think it gives children a great opportunity to explore different emotions in a dramatic and safe way. Wonderful!
The illustrations didn't really show the emotions well, but my 2.5yo really enjoyed it. It was a cute book. It was fun to make the faces together. A mirror would make it even more fun for the little ones.
