Part three, and the finale, of the Nirvana is a gritty urban fiction love tale of the lengths Kadeem goes rescue Maia, his best friend and the love of his life.
For as long as Miss Candice could remember, writing has been her passion. In the beginning, she wrote poetry. Later on in life, when she was about thirteen years old, she was introduced to fanfiction.
The Coldest Winter Ever was the first urban fiction book she read. It wast then when she took Fanfiction to another level. She perfected her writing skills, and began to write Urban fanfiction. At first, writing was something she did in her spare time. Something that was therapeutic to her. Never in a million years, did she think she would become a published author, although it has always been a dream of hers.
Now, at the age of twenty-eight, she's penned over ten bestselling novels with many more to come.
In addition to writing, She's also CEO and founder of Miss Candice Presents.
My and Kadeem had a rough road to get to their HEA! It was clear that their bond ran deep but because neither wanted to ruin the friendship taking things to the next level they fought against the inevitable and unfortunately they paid a heavy price!
Kadeem did not play about My and it was evident in the lengths he went through to protect her, keep her safe and also avenge her honor after what she endured!
I hate that these authors have me feeling sorry for the villains because I do believe Pierre and Drake weren’t who their father made them out to be but unfortunately their were consequences for their fkd up actions.
I’m so happy that Kadeem, Raheem and Kareem were able to mend their relationship! I definitely wouldn’t mind a spin off on Raheem because he was definitely on his boss shït!
This was a really good series and there’s no doubt in my mind that Miss Candice will deliver every single time!
I took some time before really diving in to this last book because I thought I knew how hard it was going to be, but I had no idea. This book took me through it. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Miss Candice did an amazing job making all the feelings jump off the page. I felt everything. Magnified. And I KNEW how Kadeem was coming behind his bestie. But he even went beyond what I thought he would do. I loved how this story wrapped up. I almost felt bad for Drake, but nah...he deserved everything he got.
One thing about this Author is that she can pen a very detailed story without it dragging. Kadeem lost his peace when he realized Maia was missing. Although broken hearted because of the way she left. He learned that Maia wasn't missing because she didn't want to be found. She was missing because she was being used as a pawn. Big Nate should've known his plan to get Kadeem and Raheem to give him a piece of Kingston by dangling Maia in his face was a death sentence. Kadeem saw red when he realized they kidnapped her. Big Nate knew his son Edward was a sickening and vile human being. Edward had no business being alone with Maia. Drake and Pierre both knew their father went to far with the disrespect towards Kadeem and Raheem mother and with taking Maia. Pierre tried his best to get Maia to understand that he actually had genuine feelings for her but Maia wasn't trying to hear that since he was the reason that his father took her. Pierre set her up. Drake had no clue who Aria really was and Aria had no clue she was sleeping with the enemy. Kadeem anger and rage toward his brother and father was warranted. It caused him to become closed off, cold hearted, and emotionally unavailable. Maia was the only person who saw the human side of him. I was glad he was able to finally get some peace and normalcy and deal with his trauma.
The alpha, Kadeem was very polarizing. Throughout the series I found myself both disliking him and loving him. While far from a book bae, I’m glad Miss Candice was able to unpack his issues for the reader to better understand.
I didn’t care for the subplots with the sister, Aria. I skipped over all if not most of her relationship drama. I did wonder why we needed to read about Kadeem with so many women. The chemistry between Kadeem and Maia is what drew me in not that other fluff. I still detest how she drags relationship issues in a lot of her books to be resolved until the very end (including her characters getting together at the very end). It makes everything seemed rushed compared to the attention she gives to the issues themselves.
If you don’t care to read about well-developed multi-faceted, realistic characters then Miss Candice is not the author for you.
Plot: 4.5 of 5 Character development: 4.5 of 5 Book 3: 4 of 5 Series as a whole: 3.5
I loved how Kareem and Raheem acknowledge they messed up. Kareem got his baby boy back and Raheem got his lil bro back. Everything is going to be alright now. Lil D was a snake kicking with Kadeem like he didn't know what was going on. Maia needed to to stop begging for Kadeem to not kill Drake. No matter how good he was to her, he's guilty by association. Maia realized that things aren't better on the other side of the track. She said home is where you make it. Aria is carrying around so much guilt of having a miscarriage and about Drake. Juvie and Yas are are in a relationship. Fayth got a man. Maia and Kadeem finally came to their senses and now they have a baby on the way.
I absolutely loved this series. The love between My and Kadeem was evident from the very start they were just too stuck in their heads to realize it. They BOTH worked my nerves something terribly but I loved their journey albeit bumpy.
While I did like Kadeem, Raheem just did it for me. I’mma know something if Miss Candice doesn’t give us the spin off because I’m eager to see how things go with him and ole’ girl.
Anxious to read more from the residents of Everly County.
Kadeem was my guy!! He did not play when it came to Maia. Anybody could get it, including his family. Being in a dark place mentally is already rough and for someone to do something to place you there deeper is hard! That's how Kadeem felt. The only thing that could pull him out was Maia. Everything worked in Kadeem's favor. Mentally and physically, his life became so much better. As well as Maia and her family. This was an awesome series.
This story was so well written! Had me ready for more with each book. You could really feel the emotions of this book in your heart. The heart ache this family endured while still trying to survive?!?!? Don’t know how they were still standing. Thank you for this story, appreciate all your time and hard work.
My and Kadeem are at it again. This time it takes tragedy for these two to finally get it right. My’s blindness leads her to danger while Kadeem refuses to stop at nothing to get her back. Will Kadeem be able to save her and himself in the meantime? This was an ending of a great series.
Maia and Kadeem went through so much! One thing was true their love sustained them. In the end everyone got their karma delivered to them. The ones who needed love and forgiveness received it and others were dealt with! Great series, some grammatical errors in all 3 books but a great read!
What an excellent series. Miss Candice tells her stories as they are so relatable and she touches on our mental health and the importance of family and forgiveness. Kadeem and Maia had to grow individually to realize what they meant to each other. What a wild ride. Miss Candice never disappoints! BRAVA!🎊
This was a great series and I really enjoyed everyone coming into they own and showing love for each other.love the ending just like arie said Kadeem was gonna but that lil cherry 🤣. But good series I enjoyed it. Until next time ✌🏽
baby you wrote the hell out of this book when i this is a great book it is it’s not the same boring story line i enjoyed the plot twist and i’m glad they got their happy ending
Anybody looking for a dope book please read this ! Girl I love Kadeem that man is ruthless but also sweet with My. But the book flowed great. Transition from one subject to another was on point.
This was a great love story. It took a long time to get to it but I enjoyed the ride. I love me some Kadeem but I’m not mad at Aria n Raheem either. That’s a good look. I’m definitely here for it
See I knew this author would do this series justice. It started out slow but book 2 hyped me up and book three. Closed it out. Everything happened just how it was suppose too and I loved the ending. Well Done. We definitely need more from these characters.
Kadeem and Ra are brothers for life and forgiveness is everything. Mya, Aria, Juvi and Mrs. Phyllis deserved all the love and happiness they got and a baby I’m so ready for a spin off.
I enjoyed the series with a wonderful storyline and excellent character development. I recommend this five star read, and look forward to reading more from this author.
I spent my day reading this series! It was gritty and showed the way life is in the trenches. Making it out alive is not easy and making it out at all to live a better life is even harder. Kadeem showed so much growth personally and never waivered on his loyalty to My. My learned the true source of her nirvana🤍
