It all started with a legend passed down from the People of the Water...
Somewhere in this world, there is a temple created by the People of the Water. The Sea Temple contains a hidden treasure, the Sea Crown, but no one has ever seen it because the temple is protected by a secret mechanism. So it drifts through the vast ocean undetected, waiting... waiting...
Ash and Pikachu learn about the legend and meet Jackie, a Pokémon Ranger on a mission to protect a Manaphy egg and find the temple. The Phantom, a nefarious pirate, plans to obtain the Sea Crown and take over the world--but first he needs the Manaphy egg. What is the Sea Crown? How does Manaphy's mysterious power connect it to the Sea Temple? Can Ash help Jackie complete his mission?
I decided to pick this manga up because I loved the movie and the Pokemon Ranger games as a kid. It followed the plot of the film in a more condense format. It's a kids manga so I won't judge it to harshly, but it could have used an extra chapter to expand the story
Ash and his friends meet Jackie, a Pokemon Ranger trying to protect the legendary Manaphy egg from a pirate known as the Phantom, who seeks to use it to find the Sea Temple - only for the egg to hatch and form a bond with May! Mizobuchi delivers an exciting and heartwarming adventure that will keep eyes glued to the pages. Can Ash, May and Jackie get Manaphy home in time to keep it safe from the Phantom's grasp?
