My boyfriend and I have been going through this slowly, doing 3-5 questions a week, and I think it is really helping us both open up and get to know each other and how we view our relationship. It's fun, sparks great discussions, and we always feel closer afterward. We both wish we had had it in past relationships!

This was selected by someone in my book club. I understand that it is supposed to be similar to the questions couples may pose to one another in marriage counseling. I found that many of the questions were odd and/or just didn't apply to my relationship with my partner of 27 years. Perhaps it would be helpful for someone in the beginning stages of a relationship?

I like that the questions are divided into sections.

Part of the Table of Contents
- Our Relationship
- Relationships with Others
- Emotions and Dreams
- Goals and Fantasies
- Life Experiences and Beliefs
- Memories
- Sex

I intend to mark the questions that we have discussed, and make some notes about them. This book reminds me of a technique my wife and I learned at a marriage retreat. We would each write about the question, trade papers, read, then discuss. That worked fine while we had canned questions, but when we ran out of canned questions, my wife objected to the topics I came up with, so we stopped. Another problem was that we spent way more time than we were supposed to in doing our writing. (I think it was supposed to be 5 minutes of writing?)
