Andi Kelly is looking forward to a weekend of uninhibited sex and turning over control to a dominant man for just two days. She's headed to what patrons refer to as "The Bondage Club," an exclusive resort catering to those who live the lifestyle of, or wish to experience, BDSM. Having published more than 100 novels and novellas in contemporary and paranormal romance, urban fantasy and romantic suspense, she is now also writing cozy mysteries as Deb Ries.
Chey grew up on a ranch in southeastern Arizona and delights in creating stories of suspense, love, and redemption with characters and worlds her readers can get lost in. Chey and her equally geeky husband live with their two dogs, six ducks (the neighborhood celebrities), and a small flock of chickens in a small Arizona town where she enjoys gardening, crazy quilting and, of course, writing.

My Thoughts: Hands down, this was an erotic story, as given away by the title of the novella. As with most novellas, they are low on story and high on smexy. However, this story attempted to filter more story in with the eroticism. I struggled with a rating for the story because it was well written and steamy. But, I didn't feel as if Andi and Derrick had enough of an emotional connection to profess to love each other at the end of the story. Honestly, Andi didn't seem like a true sub and I didn't care for Derrick as a Dom. It seemed as if he allowed Andi to experience things that were more about his pleasure than hers. I get it....a sub should want to please her Dom. But, not knowing her (other than in a work atmosphere), I didn't feel as if Derrick "knew" her enough to allow other women and another man to pleasure her. Notwithstanding, if you're in for a quick and steamy read then this might be the story for you.
Caution: Some readers may find the f/f/f action offensive as well as Derrick's sharing Andi with another Dom.
This one just didn't hold my interest it was okay but even that is giving it more credit than I should...and that sucks because I was looking forward to these two in a book. Derrick I get it is a Dom but seriously the things he made her do were pretty degrading towards her, and Andi didn't even strike me as the submissive type AT ALL. Oh and for future readers read this book after reading Erotic Invitation I made the mistake of reading Erotic Stranger before this one and it threw me off because Erotic Stranger is about Josh. There were actually a few times were I wanted to just DNF this because my interest was just not being held at all throughout it. I got through it though but I was highly disappointed that I didn't like this one more.
Hot and dirty short read about Prez and VP hooking up by chance at a BDSM weekend getaway club. Pretty good for a short read...not a ton of character development, but who needs it when you in that kind of setting.

Like they state, this is a story for BSDM lover's only. It was way to harsh for me.
The female lead, Andi Kelly, was a first timer at a hard core BSDM club. What happened to her was hard to read.
I think she would have freaked out having to do all that stuff, especially when she is described as a dominant woman. I can't believe that what happened to her would, could, or did feel good to her, if it had been real. That made me have trouble with this story.
Having to break all of "normal" society's sex rules is hard even for the adventurous. She might have liked a light taste, and be talked into more, setting up sequel books. This was way to fast and rough.
The story was definitely hot, but a little to far for me. I couldn't relate to the characters, and there seemed to be little emotional involvement between them, and very little discussion of the future. I would have liked to be given a better idea that they'd be happy in the future, that they had a relationship and love down the line.
I know it's fiction, but I had a big issue with the fact that there was no negotiation and no discussion of her limits. Public nudity, F/F, sharing... these are things that should be discussed beforehand. Seriously.
The story was solid, as was the writing, but the characters just didn't have any spark. Something was amiss with them. Also the hero made some questionable choices which didn't give him any good marks in my book.
