“At last the time has come.” The voice spoke like a clap of thunder, menace choking off the breeze that had sprung up.
“Seven hundred years I have waited for the Red Rabbit to appear once again. There will be much sorrow here soon…and pain. That is what makes the waiting worthwhile.” With that proclamation the pair of enormous emerald green eyes faded back into the darkness.
A spoiled, rich young woman is catapulted into an alternate universe because of an ancient legend. As she fights to find her way back home, she must adjust her way of thinking or remain trapped in the Realms for eternity. Along the way she learns the meaning of friendship, love and honor while struggling against the dangerous adversaries who are intent on keeping her there.

This book is a unique one. It is to me, like a combination of Alice in Wonderland, Sliders, and something I can't quite put my finger on. Alyson is a spoiled little rich girl, who has been marked at the time of the Red Rabbit star formation, and is brought into the Realms of the Red Rabbit, which is controlled by an entity known only as "Green Eyes" because he manifests in this pair of disembodied evil looking green eyes.
Each "Kingdom" in each Realm has a purpose, and those within it are those who have lived lives that are without compassion, without respect for all of human kind. There are the cons, the malicious, and various other ner-do-wells that we come across in our every day lives. The rich, those that toy with emotions. There are even those that are Magical Creatures, you know, faeries, gnomes, leprechauns, trolls, ogres and more that we all believe in so readily in childhood, but by the time we are adults have turned into just mythical creatures that populate children's stories.
All in all, it is a very good book, and I will be reading the second book in the series.
I loved this book! It was a great combination of the movie Clueless and Alice and Wonderland... meets big life lessons learned. This is a story of a very stuck up rich girl goes on an adventure, and comes out a wonderful soul... very inspiring!
