I knew I was going to like this book before I even started reading it but I never knew how much I would end up relating with the people and locations in it. (Just to mention a few, the street Darby lives on (Tchoupitoulas) where on Mardi Gras morning the truck parades line up is the same place and street where my grandmother lived when I was a kid and I spent my childhood there. Then in the epilogue the restaurant she eats at (Domilise's) is the po boy shop that my Aunt Dot owns.) I couldn't have loved this book more. I don't expect other people to feel the same way about this book as I do but it brought back so many wonderful memories for me. Thank you once again for a fantastic and wonderful New Orleans novel Mrs. Friedmann! I'm always on the lookout for your next book.
