I want to say so many things about this book but I'll probably end up spoiling everything and I don't want that.

What I can say is that this is definitely the best book in the series (in my opinion, of course). The plot was great and I absolutely loved the MCs. Eric has my heart. He was such a cutie, always caring for his mother and Madeline and I just couldn't not love him. As for Madeline, I kinda hated her in the first book but I really felt for her after reading her story.

The only thing I didn't like was the epilogue. It was a good epilogue, don't get me wrong, but I expected more since it was the last book in the series. Maybe we'll get to see them in an extended epilogue or a novella? 👀 (@S.J. Sylvis I'm looking at you)

Anyway it was such a good book that I can't give it less than 5 ⭐

STORY:
I hate to see this series end. Book 1, I loved it, book 2, I found it ok, and book 3, reminds me of book 1 and why I loved this series. I walked in book 3 despising Madeline. If you’ve read book 1, you understand why.

Eric is my hero. I got to see him in his own story. He is Stoic with his demeanor but gives us a good read with Madeline. Apart from Madeline, I also love Eric’s relationship with his mom; I enjoyed some of their scenes. Madeline, wow, her journey will be emotional. Still don’t condone her behavior in the previous books as she was a Queen Bee mean girl. There were so many things going on with her so be prepared for her journey.

CHEMISTRY:
Eric’s and Madeline’s physical chemistry good. I wanted a bit more there, but was satisfied. I really did enjoy their truth or dare scene.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS
I enjoyed Christian and Ollie along with Hayley and Piper coming back with big enough roles for me to enjoy their chemistry. So loving Ollie’s and Christian’s group text scene, lol. They give me good vibes.

Overall, a good close out to a series and happy how this book turned out. To the author, I know the book is closed on this series but would love a novella giving us a 5 years later follow up on the couples.

**Triggers: Rape, Domestic violence and family turmoil.

***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful.

Whoa. What a finale! Eric and Madeline's past is an extremely INTENSE one. Their love story isn't as dramatic as that of Christian & Haley's (All the Little Lies), nor is it as sweet as that of Ollie & Piper's (All the Little Secrets); theirs is the kind filled with nasty lies, dirty secrets, and unspeakable truths. Their families are a mess, their friends are...well, do they even have real friends? And everything they think they know may turn out to be a big friggin' joke. Yeah, so basically, their romance is the twisted version of love ever known but when the truths are laid bare, this book is worth reading all over again.

Best book in this awful series, I love Maddie and Eric and yeah I'll always love the mean girl redemption arc.
I feel like the author writes triggering topics so irresponsibly.. but I'll won't even get started on this, I'm just glad I finished the series bc the writing was killing me (and I don't recommend it btw).

TW// rape and domestic violence.

I love me some good anti-heroine story. If you’ve read the first two books, you had to hate Madeline at least once or twice. She was a bitch.

I was wondering what her story was going to be and I was curious to see her past friendship with Eric. This didn’t disappoint. I have to say, I couldn’t stop reading it. At around the 60-70%, the book did felt a little bit stale and I felt like the story needed SOMETHING, but soon a lot of things and conversations happened which regained my interest.

Eric was such a fierce protector. He just wanted everyone safe. He has tough love for Maddie and I actually kinda dig it. It was interesting to see their dynamic. Watching him slowly fall for her again and trying to tear down her walls was sweet. I think the amount of time it took for both of them to say “IM YOURS YOU’RE MINE” was good, but the time we see them together wasn’t enough. I needed me some more public couple time 😭😭.

I felt bad for Maddie, I felt her tiredness and I was right there with her in the first half. I just wanted to hug her. It was awful watching her blame herself. I was so happy the answer to everything wasn’t “just love” and she actually got help.

Eric’s mom was a sweetheart and his dad didn’t deserve her. He belongs in the trash, that’s all i’m going to say.

A few things I had trouble with were: how Maddie’s secret was handled at the school scene. None of them had the right to speak up about the secret. It was Maddie’s and Maddie’s only. I’m never going to criticize or judge how someone copes, so I’m just not gonna talk about that, but the way Eric pushed at the beginning was a bit too rough for me, I felt her pain every time he said the words. I get that he needed to push a bit, but it was a lot for me. I’m glad he made her see it wasn’t her fault and that it was important to say it how it was. Also, the Eric’s dad situation... yeah, nope. Not happy with that. And Maddie’s mom, what’s up with that?? How is she dealing with the whole situation?? Is she going to change?? Or she’s going to be more careful?? That ending was way too open.

By the end, I was sad to leave this world. I wished we could’ve had an epilogue from a few years in the future, but I’m still happy at how everything worked out. This was my favorite book of the series and I enjoyed it a lot!!

actually really sweet for a dark romance, i feel like it’s what it’s supposed to be - not romanised abuse.., it was cute and i’m no longer reading DR and have never loved it so that’s saying a lot. eric really cares for her, i just wish we got more depth and more emotional rather than sexual but i think dark romances tend to be like this - they’re just not for me. more flashbacks and angst would’ve added more depth to the break up and angst. overall i enjoyed it and i love the misunderstood mean girl trope so much, she really gave me lizzie young vibes. him sleeping in her room, ugh.

• Definitely the best book out of three.
• Could have been better had the author decided to make Christian either shut the fuck up or die. Men who only stand up for women they like have no business having stories written about. They will never make me like you. If they have 0 haters I’m fucking dead. Loser.
• Hayley & Maddie best characters we love you ladies.
• Once again, too much drama going on and written irresponsibly. I didn’t like how Maddie’s struggles were treated, dick can’t fix things, ever.
• Still, Eric and Maddie were adorable. We love a pathetic man (affectionate).

I received an ARC of this book in return for an honest review.

I’m really not sure where to start! This book was absolutely brilliant. I thought I loved the first two books in the English Prep series but this one blew those out of the water. Eric and Madelines story was truly amazing. It had me consumed from the first pages.
I wasn’t sure if I would even like Madelines character after knowing how awful she was in the the first two books. However, Sammi wrote her character so well, her backstory was truly heartbreaking and the angst was real.
Eric was a fantastic character, again, not someone I liked that much in the first books but he came into his own in this book. He showed the strength of his character by not caring what others thought of his actions. He put others first and his loyalty was inspiring.
I loved that we still got to read about Christian, Hayley, Ollie and Piper too.
This book is a must read. If I could give it more stars I would, it deserves at least 10!

OMG! What an ending for the English Prep series!

SJ Sylvis just nailed it!! I never thought I would feel anything else that ‚hatred‘ for Maddie, after we met her in the first two books. Boy was I wrong! Oh so wrong. I was a blubbering mess reading her story and couldn’t put this book down!!
Eric and Maddie are neighbors for a very long time, and we’re friends as well, until Maddie changed and shut him out. A recent discovery made Eric despise her a lot.
Page after page we find out what’s happening. It’s gripping, it’s thrilling, it’s heartbreaking, it’s intense. It’s absolutely brilliant!!!

I kindly received an arc from the author and voluntarily left a review

Madeline (Maddie FMC) hasnt done herself any favors in the last two books. She was bitchy and a bully with very little redeemable qualities. The tables have turned in this book for her though and the Queen Bee has lost her Crown. Shes now the focus of a whole school they take great pleasure in bullying her with Eric & his friends enjoying her torment. Maddie & Eric have a long history together being childhood friends but events in Maddies life got in the way & they fell out of being friends. Only to get back into each others lives when family tensions on both sides draw them back together.

Ill be honest i wasnt a fan of Maddie in previous books. In this one my heart literally broke for her and it all made sense why she was the way she was. Not an excuse for her actions but a reason to why she was so closed off to everyone. Yes Eric had his reasons for hating Maddie but once he looked beneath her veneer to see what she was hiding from everyone else he completely changed his attitude and i loved how caring and protective he became. The 3rd and last book in this series and i think it was darker then the other two and had some topics that might upset some readers. I really enjoyed reading it and i loved Eric & Maddie. It was a great ending to this series

This is the third and final book in the English Prep series and I must say that I have enjoyed all three books and it kind of makes me sad that this journey is over.
This book is about Eric and Madeline, whom we have met in the previous two books.
I must admit that I was a little bit suspicious about Madeline, because I didn't like her character in the other two books. But this book portrayed her perfectly, we finally got to see what made her the way she is, what she has gone through, what has made her the way she was among other people, the way she build a fort around herself and became untouchable. And as all forts have a weak point so did our Madeline, but only few people got to see through her layers and one of them is Eric, her best friend from the childhood, her neighbour and a classmate. Although they were very close as young children they soon grew to be enemies and didn't talk to each other. All that because of secrets.
I really loved Eric, even in the other books, but in this one we get to see his real character, his loyalty, his protectiveness, his love for the people he cares about..... I would really like to emphasize his behavior towards his mom and later Madeline, it just proves that he has a heart of gold and he definitely knows what is right and what is wrong.... and that puts him on the right side and makes him so loveable.
The story of Eric and Madeline is not easy at all.... Secrets get revealed, and it is a plural, secrets, that have turned their lives upside down. It was the secrets that made Madeline build walls around her, and it was a secret that got Eric back into her life.
This books deals with so many things such as domestic violence, rape, cheating... This book actually opens up our eyes in order to see that the villain is actually not the villain it's just a facade to protect the loved ones....
I am so afraid to spoil anything for you and I will leave my review just like this and recommend you to read this entire series!

MY HEART HURTS WHILE READING THIS BUT I MEANT THAT IN A GOOD WAY— as to how it was so heart warming but aching too

the way their relationship progresses? the way they were able to build back their trust around each other? the way maddie felt safer with him, and as he "chased her nightmares away"? I LOVE THEM AND I LOVE THIS

the storyline goes from childhood friends to "strangers" to enemies to lovers

“I invited you over because I was going absolutely fucking insane knowing you were just a few yards away, stuck in a house that is the furthest thing from a home. It’s not safe there. It is here. Thus, why I invited you.”

and the fact that this whole series runs on the same theme: protective mmc who swore they hated the fmc but would literally kill anyone who'd dare touch and hurt them SO OF COURSE I ATE THIS SERIES UP! and i swear, the way all of these boys would sneak up to the fmc room just to be with them and let the girls sleep and feel/be safe: my love language is screaming fr — acts of service girlie

“I will always be here to save you. I will always protect you, even though you are strong enough to protect yourself.” His gray eyes deepened. “Do you hear me?”

check for tws though before reading because it tackles a few heavy topics: rape and domestic violence

I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Little Truths does have trigger warnings as it touches on abuse, sexual assault, and suicide. This book is the third and final book in the English Prep Series. While it’s a series each book could be read as a stand alone. I however, recommend reading the series from the beginning to get a full understanding of the characters.

This book is on Eric and Madeline and honestly I am not even sure where to begin with this review. I was really interested in learning more about Eric and Madeline just off reading the first two books, there were so many mysteries surrounding them. Eric and Madeline were childhood friends, but eventually turned enemies and Eric had no real idea as to why.

Madeline made it her mission to make sure Eric hated her. She’s got secrets and those secrets have turned her into the person that she is now. But all walls created are meant to be broken by the right person. The only person she can trust in her life right now is Eric. She’s just not sure what game he is playing, but she can play too.

I really didn’t want this series to end to be honest!

4.5 stars!! Wow! Just wow! What a way to end a series! I love Eric! When I first heard this book would be about sweet Eric and the bully Madeline I was thinking, what!?!? Not Eric! But this book wasn’t anything I expected and everything I could have wanted in the final book in this series by this talented author. This book should come with trigger warnings. It’s intense! The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars for me is because I rate 5 star books by how much crying or goosebumps I get. While there weren’t a lot for this one it did make me express anger, disgust, love, sadness, just to name a few emotions. This was very close to 5 stars for me and I have to agree with what I’ve read from others that this is the best book in this series. It ended with a bang, no pun intended, and showcased SJ Sylvis’ abilities to create characters you love to hate and just maybe learn to love as well! Excellent ending to a great series and I can’t wait for the next creation from the mind of SJ Sylvis!

5 BIG STARS FOR THIS ORIGINAL STORY!

What if the villain wasn't a villain at all? This story is about Madeline and Eric. Eric has just recently found out that his dad has been cheating on his mum with Madeline's mother for years?! And to make matters worse, Madeline has known for all this time! However, underneath Madeline's tough and bitchy exterior lies a woman who has been through hell and back, facing rape and domestic violence. Eric is making sure that Madeline pays for what she did or rather, for what she did not do, although, whilst doing so, he realises that some things in Madeline's character are not adding up...

I LOVED the story; the twist with the villain previously looking all malicious but turns out it is all to protect the other around her; it turns out that the wolf is just the lamb, a strong and resilient lamb, if I may add! I suggest that you clear out your schedule and get reading! Happy Reading!

Okay, real talk. I am OBSESSED with this series. Like it’s my favorite and I don’t want it to end EVER. I’ve fallen so hard for these beautiful and broken characters. But Eric was always a mystery to me and frankly, I thought Madeline was a heinous bitch. I had no idea what was in store for these two and holy mother!

I. Was. Shooketh.

I was on pins and needles throughout the entire book. Everything I thought I knew was turned upside down and I found myself aching to hug Madeline and swimming in a giant pool of swoon for Eric. His heart y’all! His need to protect the women in his life … it got me good! The angst, the suspense, the chemistry in ATLT was off the charts. This book turned me into a mess of emotions. I was in tears one minute and hot and bothered in the next, and y'all, I was here for it!

SJ handled the intense and triggering scenes with such grace and care for her characters. You can feel her blood, sweat, tears, and heart with every page turned. She poured it all into this book. And I fell head over Crocs. No lie, All the Little Truths is my favorite. It took my breath away. I would give it all the stars if I could. And although I'm heartbroken ATLT is the last book, it’s the perfect ending to a brilliant series. I 1000% recommend this book. A must-read y’all!

The final book of the English Prep series was so much more than I anticipated! SJ Sylvis knows how to completely break my heart into tiny pieces and then slowly put them back together! I absolutely loved Eric and Madeline’s story! Finally getting to know Madeline’s history and see how the relationship with Eric changed really brought the series to a close! You will not be disappointed with how this one plays out. The lead female character is strong and independent, but somewhat broken and weak. And of course the lead male character is the alpha-hole who wants to be the one to bring her out of the dust and make her whole again! This book releases on March 25th! If you haven’t read the English Prep series do so now and be prepared for last book!

I am so lucky to have received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review!

this is my favourite book in the series!!! i loved maddie and eric so much!! there was not a boring moment throughout, and kept me engaged all the way through.

i loved the way the book dealt with the trauma of her rape and domestic abuse and it was so heartbreaking to read but i genuinely loved it.

reading the first two books i wasn’t sure how there would be a way that would make me sympathise with maddie and like her as a whole. BUT I WAS SOOOO WRONG! within the first few chapters i instantly loved her and her character had so much depth and complexity that it made sense the way she was in the previous books. and omg eric is by far one of my favourite characters of all time he was so protective, considerate, and sooooo filled with compassion.

i genuinely don’t know how this book isn’t more hyped/known literally everyone needs to read this book!!!
