When Charlene Cooper was eighteen, she turned to Brand Bravo in desperation...and he couldn't get away fast enough. And then ten years later, Charlene was forced to turn to him again--this time with a baby in her arms and a burning question in her heart: are you this little girl's father?
At twenty Brand Bravo knew that he could never be the kind of man Charlene deserved. At thirty, he knew she was the love of his life, and he would do anything to get her back. Because, once again, she needed him, for herself and for the infant in her care. And this time, Brand wouldn't hesitate to be anything Charlene asked him to be. Husband. And father?

I enjoyed this book quite a bit, in the last Bravo book we read about how Charlene seems to ignore Brand Bravo and hates him since the past ten years, when he refused to marry her and she lost the custody of her sister to her aunt. Her messed up sister came to town a year ago and left and now in the morning she discovers a baby, her sister's baby with a letter from Sissy telling her that she can't take care of it anymore and Brand is the father, angry she goes to him.
Brand denies it outright and is willing to take any and all tests, even though she pretends not to believe him, she does soon. Charlene and Brand used to be crazy in love an dated since she was fifteen and then her parents died, he went away to college and she had a custody battle on her hands, so she asked him for help, he refused and he has regretted what he does and tries to make it up to her, he has a second chance now. He slowly ingrates himself in her life, first by hiring someone to find her sister and then they renew their relationship, all the while Charlene tells herself it is temporary.
Her aunt also come to town, a changed person and Brand loves her and wants them to be permanent but Charlene can't, she just doesn't trust things anymore. Of course she sorts things through with time.
I love the Bravos Series! There's just one thing. I wish the ending was so abrupt and quick! After reading the entire book the ending is just over in less than a page...
I didn't see them solve their problems, the hero wasn't even messed up, he just left the heroine cause he was immature, it was too real for me, romance is supposed to be different from reality if you ask me and I just don't know how they solved their problems all he did was stay around for a while after she searched for him, she even left her again if you ask me.
Another one of those sappy romances. I wish that there were some more flashbacks of the past included. Especially the breakup scene from 10 years prior. I like books that make my eyes water from saddness, but then later on make them water from joy. This book didn't quite hit the expectation, but was still entertaining to read.
