California transplant Brian Lawson runs a popular North Dakota coffeeshop, but still can't make money. One day he's fighting the competition - and the next day fighting for his life, diagnosed with bone cancer. A radical, dangerous treatment could be his cancer cure; a beautiful, equally dangerous woman could be the cure for everything else.
I read this originally in the much longer manuscript form, before authors Gray and Harris put it on a crash diet. Pared down by about 30% (what would that be in body weight???) it is still the same book, um, only shorter.
I like the story, the honest sometimes raw dealing with pain and life and struggling to be a success in busines.
I think some of the sexuality is over the top so be advised. That content was reduced as well in number but not intensity.
A good effort by two good friends of many hours in coffee Nirvana at Crowfoot.
Now if the authors will just put up a web site so we can all try to identify the characters.........
