THE ONLY MAN WHO COULD SAVE HER...

Special Forces agent Carter Rawlings was back--and Dani Marlow's world was spinning in his wake. The local arson attacks for which she was being blamed were only part of the problem. The feelings Carter's reappearance had ignited threatened far more dangerous territory--a past she tried to keep hidden, especially from him. With the trouble on her land and Carter's tantalizing presence, Dani had to think about her future. Did she want to keep avoiding the truth--that she loved Carter and wanted to make a life with him--or could she finally face the stakes head-on, deal with her enemies and seal her heart to that of the only man she's ever loved?

Really enjoyed this story. The hero and heroine had a long history, knowing each other since they were young teens. Their relationship was complicated but it felt comfortable, like a favorite pair of old jeans.

Carter is a man's man - an SAS member. He is old school in that he's the man and is responsible for those he loves. Dani has always taken care of those around her and allowing Carter to take the lead was hard for her but she didn't let it come between them. They both knew the other loved them, even though it was unspoken.

There is a mystery and its well done but doesn't detract from the story or the romance. The ending was well done and made you want to keep reading.

I cant even finish this slow moving book. Half way through and the author just jumps around like crazy and there is hardly any romance. I am sad I can't finish it.
