Yesterday we did the Bull Rider's Twins, today? Well it's Heart of A Bullrider.. and Ms. Leonard treats us to not one but two stories in this one!

The Billionaire: John Carruth, Billionaire extrodinaire is wooed to No Chance Texas to save their flagging rodeo. Only when he gets there, he discovers there is way more to No Chance than a bad rodeo and a unique name. Seems he also has a long lost twin. Separated at birth.. Yeah always fun to find out that you were the twin, mom gave away. Now he has to deal with the emotions that brings on as well as saving the rodeo and trying to lasso in the crazy townfolks.. And then there's Chloe Winters, the small town girl that is quickly capturing his heart.

The Bull Rider: Jake Fitzgerald.. John may be the brother given away but Jake was the brother that was kept. He had a poor but really good childhood, hometown hero and all that but he too was a bit lost when the twin discovery was made. So upset that he leaves the town to move one town over and ride in their rodeo.. No Chance's fiercest rivals.. Only problem is Erin O'Donovan is there and he needs to stay as far away from her as possible..

A Serious case of nature vs nurture and nature seems to be winning. Sure John was raised in the lap of luxury and Jake was raised in small town, if not poverty then at least lower middle class. And both brothers are butting heads against not just each other but the town of No Chance and it's cast of characters.

And of course both find love with small town girls, educated small town girls who have that country chic sophistication going on..

Craziness abounds and it's kinda fun.. Of course I have a certain weak spot for those small towns and their inhabitants.. and Ms. Leonard gets that just right!

I quite enjoyed this pair of novellas. Leonard has created an entire community that readers get to fall in love with. Life surrounding this rodeo was exciting and wildly romantic. Leonard threw some plot twists in that I wouldn’t have never fathomed coming. I love how the two stories in this set combine to give you a complete picture of these two brothers.

I couldn’t even imagine finding myself in the situation the main characters in this story did. Worlds collide as we fall in love with two very different yet remarkably similar heroes. Surrounded by the loveable, if misguided, individuals in their hometown you really get a sense of who they are. A sense of extended family & solidarity really shines through. Some of the town people’s names definitely made me giggle. Mr. Pickle was simply priceless, both in name & personality.

As a whole, Leonard has created a tale of romance that will be enjoyed by those who enjoy the rodeo & by those who’ve never experienced one. It is definitely one that is well worth reading.

Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

This book features two short stories. The first titled "The Billionaire" and the second one "The Bull Rider". However both stories combine to make one whole story. While I thought both stories were sweet and charming, I wanted more. In fact, I was disappointed that there was not more. More romance, more action, and more characterism. Neither story grabbed me. I thought for sure that Jake's story in The Bull Rider would have gotten me. Which it did more than John's story. There was a little more romance. What I wanted is for each guy to take the reins and be the strong man that I thought they could be. It was the women that were the strong force in each story. Girl Power!

The Texas Twins" – Double the Trouble, Double the Heart

Tina Leonard brings twice the charm and twice the fun in The Texas Twins. With adorable twin antics, a rugged cowboy hero, and a heroine who’s as strong as she is sweet, this story is packed with small-town warmth, family meddling, and feel-good romance.

A delightful blend of humor, heart, and classic Texas-style matchmaking—perfect for fans of kids-in-romance plots and happily-ever-afters.

In Heart of a Bull Rider Tina Leonard takes us to a town called No Chance and we meet brothers Jake Fitzgerald and John Carruth. They were separated at birth, with Jake stay with his mother and John being adopted.

The book is two stories in one and they combine to make one sweet romance for both brothers. I enjoyed both stories, but I especially liked John and Chloe's story, because I've always been a fan of the "Fish out of water" scenario, and that's what billionaire John Carruth is in the small town of No Chance, where everyone knows each others business and they are all up in each others business too.

The townspeople's meddling is what brings the brothers together with their heart's desires.

I loved that the two towns rodeos and the townspeople's passion for them is at the heart of the novel, right along with the relationships, in some ways, more so. It is hard not to love the other set of brothers, Cody (Chloe's Dad) and Clem the Bad.

I would have liked these stories to be longer or even separate novels because I felt things were rushed in John's story, and in Jake's story, I felt like the romance was barely there, because of all the rodeo drama.

This was light fun reading for a summer day.

This book had a lot of potential, but it never flowed. I like the idea of splitting the book into the two brothers and their relationships, but separating the two brothers' stories was unnecessary. The whole story with a better back story would have been better. All of the sound, out of the blue, Cody tells the men that they are twins. Then later in the book, Jake tells John about their "biological" father. It just seemed like, just as you were figuring out what was going on, there would be this next fact thrown out there to add to the confusion. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the brothers, but nothing was ever really developed. John gets there, gets told he has a twin, gets told that he should be more like everyone else in the way they view the town, and discovers that he is head of hills with Chloe (when there really wasn't enough time or interaction to lead to "lets get married" love). Because it was supposed to be two stories in one, there is not enough room to do either any justice. It could be a great story if it was built out with full background and turned to a contemporary town romance like Robyn Carr or Debbie Macomber.

This romance was first published as The Texas Twins in 2009.

Two halves of the story each follow a potential romance around a rodeo staged in the small town of No Chance, Texas. The outside sponsor wants a name change in the first half, while the lady representing the town folk insists that pride has its way. The first half is almost all talking indoors about business.

The second half gets outdoors as the rodeo gets under way and a pro bull rider readies for his turn; the lady doctor who patches up injured buckaroos is quietly sweet on him. But he travels the circuit and she has a practice in No Chance. This was my preferred part of the story.

The tales are linked by the sponsor discovering an unexpected kinship with the bull rider. This was a nice turn of events bringing in other considerations of family, loyalty and perhaps fate. My summing up would be too much business talk and not enough animals, but other readers may enjoy it more than I did.

Heart Of A Bull Rider is about two brothers being separated at birth neither knowing about the other. One is a wealthy billionaire and the other a bull rider, can they find enough in command to build a relationship. They have so many unanswered questions that they will need to answer before they can become a family. This is more than a love story as each have their hearts set on local girls they must work out the past before they can find happiness.

This was a cute read that was well written with wonderful characters finding their way. These are characters you can relate to. Who can resist a town where they meddle to bring you your hearts desire. A unique story about coming home to a place that you never knew you left why finding out who you really are. It did feel a little rushed maybe to man stories in one book. I didn’t feel the romance like I have in other by this author but it was a nice read and I did really enjoy it.

I hate to say it but I bought this book purely because of the cover. Really, what cowboy lover could resist. I hadn't realized it was actually two stories in one. The first I was disappointed in. It wasn't bad per say, but it didn't have a lot of action, or drama, and no buildup to the hero and heroine coming together, or the outcome of when they did. Yet there was so much potential.

After reading the first story, I was surprised to find the second better by leaps and bounds. The action and drama was great. I liked the characters, more. The only thing it lacked, in my eyes, is when the hero and heroine came together, as in when they kissed, etc. I thought it lacked buildup, and the outcome of them being together. But all in all I was happy with the second book, so it was worth my purchase...if for nothing else, to gaze at the men on the cover, ha, ha.

Heart of a Bull Rider is about so much more than the standard love story. Tina Leonard allows us into the world of not only the citizens of fictional No Chance. She allows us to experience first hand the reunion of brothers John and Jake. Neither has known the other ever existed. Opposites John is a wealthy billionaire intent on making changes to the hometown and rodeo of Jake who is a bull rider. These two now not only have to build a relationship with each other but they also each have their hearts set on local hometown girls. They also have to find answers to why they were separated in the first place. A unique story about coming home to a place that you never knew you left and finding out who you really are. Great book with a beautiful message. Received this book for an honest review.

Heart Of A Bull Rider by Tina Leonard was a good book. Billionaire John Carruth goes to No Chance, Texas to help save a rodeo. He is all suit and tie. To fit in at No Chance, Texas he goes out and buys cowboy clothes. John finds out he has a twin brother who is a bull rider, Jake Fitzgerald. John was adopted. At this same time John and Jake find out their real dad is still alive. There real mother gave John up for adoption and kept Jake and she married someone else. Their parents are both dead except their real dad. Lots of hurt feeling going on and women involved. A good read.

This was 2 stories in 1: The Billionaire and The Bull Rider. Each story was good but at around 100 pages each, they needed to be twice as long for each story to develop independently. So much revolved around the connecting plots leaving a very short space for the romance part to take place. It wasn't a bad read, but it wasn't a great one either.

Mind you, Tina Leonard has been an auto-buy author for a very long time - I really enjoy her HQ Americans. A lot.

The less said about this book the better.

Plot that didn't make a whole lot of sense. Each twin should have had his own story.

Book read more like an outline than a story.

Couldn't warm up to any of the characters.

That's all. Had to say it.

A story setup of this nature--two men discovering they're long-lost twins--really needs time to develop and explore to make sure it's believable, and that just doesn't happen here.
