It’s official, I’m in love with Verity and the small town Mulberry Falls!

I like the way this heroine can’t seem to stay out of the middle of any murder that takes place in her community. She has her own way of finding answers and while her ex wants her to stay out of things, he can’t help but key in to any clues that she finds.

Once more, I was unable to identify the killer prior to the reveal. I was shocked when it happened and thrilled that this author caught me off guard. There were several times when the danger level amped up and this heroine found herself in a tricky situation.

With a cast of eclectic characters and a hero that has me anxious for him to just make his move already, this kept me engaged from the first page.

Caught Dead is the second book in A Mulberry Falls Cozy Romantic Mystery series.
A captivating whodunit set in a quaint, charming but nosy little community called Mulberry Falls. Where everyone gossips about everything and everybody.
In the first book we meet Verity Valence who came back to town after her life and career was destroyed by something she had no control over. She found herself smack in the middle of a murder investigation and the lead investigator was her old high school sweetheart Ethan Lowell. She went on to discover the murderer and became reacquainted with Ethan.
Once again she is caught up in another murder. Now she has more to keep her up at night with not only another murderer on the loose but her feelings for Ethan are growing.

This storyline is full of quirky characters with some unique sense of humors, a charming town you would love to visit and a second chance at love all mixed in with murder investigation.

I received a free ARC from the author through Bookfunnel an I'm voluntarily leaving my review.

Just before the clock strikes midnight on New Year's Eve, tragedy befalls a resident of Mulberry Falls. On the town green to celebrate, Verity and her high school. boyfriend, Detective Ethan Lowell, are right on the scene and, of course, this draws Verity into another murder mystery. With a long list of suspects, she makes the rounds to try to drum up information. I love both the relationship between Verity and Ethan as they are finding their way back to each other as well as the relationship between Verity and her aunt. They both accept Verity for who she is. The town of Mulberry Falls sounds wonderful and a place you'd certainly like to visit. The first book in the series, Naughty or Dead, reeled me right in and I can't wait to see what Verity gets into next. Happy Reading!

* I received an ARC from the author but this review is my honest opinion.

Small town murder mystery with interesting characters. True to many small towns, a lot of the clues to who committed this murder and found in the snippets of gossip laced throughout the story. The victim was a man that was not liked by many of the residents. Verity is trying to help her beau, Detective Evan, without getting in the way or in trouble. He would rather she stay out of it. The blossoming romance between Evan and Verity is fun partly because Verity isn't ready to say that they are dating or that Evan can be called her boyfriend. Good luck solving this one before Verity or Evan does. It's a tricky mystery.

Another fun book for a fun series

I fell in love with this series when I read the first book. This one, book two, is equally entertaining. During a New Year Eve celebration in the town square, a man is murdered. Verity knows someone saw something that will lead her to the murderer but who? Almost everyone living in the town was there and she just needs to ask the right person the right question and get the right answer and she will know who the murderer is. Oh, and yah, stay alive long enough to tell her policeman boyfriend. Start reading this series today. You won't regret it.

Caught Dead

I'm always into a good cozey mystery with a touch of murder and this cozey romance mystery is definitely an exciting well written cozey mystery murder with a budding romance in the making. The characters are vibrant, definitely colorful and quirky even the deadly schemer in the background that's caused the perplexing intrigue of who murdered the towns bad guy. I'll tell you I didn't see this ending coming ,wich made for an even better read. Acquire " Caught Dead " Book 2 in the Mulberry Falls Cozey Romantic Mystery Series. So you yourself can enjoy it as much as I have.

This is such a great series and Verity and Ethan deserve to be a couple. This story is more about the people in Mulberry Falls and Ethan plays a lesser but no less important role. Ephraim was a great character and I hope he stays. All the characters are great and if you want a really feel good mystery (yes I know there are murders and attempted murders but only of the bad guys) then this is the perfect book.

If you caught the first in this fun new series, you know that Verity can't seem to help herself when it comes to solving a good mystery. She is smart and witty and has almost no sense of self preservation. Luckily, she has a good support crew and Ethan seems to know her well enough to not be too surprised by her antics. This story builds on their relationship and her entrenchment in this wonderfully quirky and sometimes dangerous small town. Looking forward to the next one!

This is the second book in Josie’s new cozy murder series. The heroine is curious, smart, sweet, yet sassy. The second chance romance with her high school love is a slow burn. The town folks are so quirky and love to gossip, they are so fun. Fans of Janet Evanovich are going to really enjoy this series! I highly recommend this book!

Verity and her high school boyfriend Detective Ethan Lowell are at the village's New Year's Eve festivities when shots ring out. Who murdered the victim? The list of people with motives is long, and now the murderer is planning to eliminate possible witnesses. Can Verity help Ethan find the murderer without being killed herself?

This is a delightful series that is a joy to read.

This is the second book in the Mulberry Falls series and it is just as good as the first one. I like the town with its gossip, the characters and the mystery, but most of all I like the humour.

A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.

This is the second book in the series, and won't disappoint. Verity returns to Mulberry Falls and meets up with her high school boyfriend; Detective Ethan Lowell. Awaiting fireworks on New Years Eve, gunshots rang out; someone was murdered. Someone must have seen something, but who?
