I work with Unix and have purchased numerous books related to Unix from O'Reilly Media, this is the first non-*nix book I have purchased.

Although there is undoubtedly some useful information in this dated book, I had hoped for a reference providing deeper insight, comprehensive coverage, external references and readily usable examples à la "Unix Power Tools" also published by O'Reilly Media. I was disappointed in each of these hopes and the 2nd edition of the book is over-priced.
