I really enjoyed reading this book. The line of victims was well developed. It was interesting to see how the victims were related. The story flowed well keeping me interested and not wanting to put the book down.
This is a quick read, which is great for a cross-country plane ride.
Overall, this book is inconsistent. I had a hard time getting into it because of the tone, the switching of using first name and last name for each character, and because of the jagged writing style. After a few chapters, I got used to it, but I didn't really like it. I kept reading, which was good because it got better. Because it's fast paced, the author doesn't offer much in the way of character development. The reader can catch facts about people on the fly.
The plot was pretty good once it all came together. I didn't particularly like any of the characters. The writing remained jagged with splashes of sarcasm. There are a lot of characters to follow, but they all make sense in the end.
If you like mysteries/thrillers, this is worth a try.
If you like noir movies, then R.J. Jagger is the author for you. In Witness Chase, it is a race against time when a woman is dead and another has gone missing. Throw in a couple of lawyers and a faked homicide and you've got a really great mystery/thriller. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a page-turner.
Great book! As I expected, a page turning thrill ride and I can't wait to continue reading more from this author. Each chapter is written like a new camera scene in a movie and makes you easily visualize everything. Definite A+!
I was pleasantly surprised to find this book refreshing, literally, and fast paced. The characters write and the plot was good.I am looking forward too reading this author More.
