ಟಿಪ್ಪು ನಿಜಕನಸುಗಳು ಕೃತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಹಲವು ಘಟನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಶಕ್ತಿಶಾಲಿ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆಗಲ್ಲಿ, ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಡುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಟಿಪ್ಪುವಿನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವದೊಳಗೆ ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮದರ್ಶಕವಿಟ್ಟು ನೋಡಿರುವಂತೆ ಆತನ ಬದುಕಿನ ಕತೆಯನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಶೈಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕೃತಿಗೆ ಭಾರತದ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಸಾಹಿತಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ. ಎಸ್. ಎಲ್. ಭೈರಪ್ಪ ಅವರ ಮುನ್ನುಡಿಯಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಪ್ರಖರ ಚಿಂತಕರೂ ವಾಗ್ಮಿಗಳೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಚಕ್ರವರ್ತಿ ಸೂಲಿಬೆಲೆ ಬೆನ್ನುಡಿ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಾಟಕರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಮೈಸೂರು ರಂಗಾಯಣ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಅಡ್ಡಂಡ ಸಿ. ಕಾರ್ಯಪ್ಪ ಒಂದು ಅನನ್ಯ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯಿಕ ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟಿರುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ಮಾತಿಲ್ಲ.

Not much of a fan of plays neither have I read any plays before but this one needed all the support.

We have been fed with constant lies about our history presenting it as the truth for over decades. This book by the descendant of the kodavas that were killed & forcibly converted to Islam. Tipu Nijakanasugalu ( meaning real dream of Tipu) this book doesn’t side with this tyrant instead sheds light on the atrocities in his tenure a jihad as said by his historians who mentioned in many cases to convert Bharat into a Islamic nation. This play spans from 1780’s to until his cowardly death in 1799. His jihad on this land was pure evil destroying temples building mosques on them converting Christian’s of mangaluru, Malabar Nayars, Kodavas and killing of Mandyam iyengars of melukote list goes on. Estimation says atleast few lakhs of them have been converted to Islam in the south Karnataka region and many lakes killed for not converting. I would rather not dwell with this further.
A must read book to know the real history of the other side of tyrant often considered as Freedom Fighter by the absolute champions of Freedom of speech brigade.

Yes , we know only one side of history, Historians wrote according to their patrons, But it has got one more side which can be anaylsed by different facts and their linkage.

The second side is written in this play and cant wait to watch it on stage

History writing in India, especially about a Muslim ruler, has been filled with hypocrisy, conspiracy and political correctness.

One such ruler - Tipu Sultan. Widely known as the Tiger of Mysore and a great freedom fighter - thanks to the woke-historians, journalists, bootlicking politicians and their vote bank politics!

Was he really a tiger or a freedom fighter? This short play answers it all. He was in-fact a mass murderer, a religious bigot and a Tyrant!

ಟಿಪ್ಪು ಸುಲ್ತಾನ್(?) ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನಾನು ಶಾಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಓದಿದ್ದೇ ಬೇರೆ, ಈಗ ಅವನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಓದುತ್ತಿರುವುದೇ ಬೇರೆ. ಮೈಸೂರು ಹುಲಿ, ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿ, ಶತ್ರುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಿಂಹ ಸ್ವಪ್ನ ಮುಂತಾದ ಬಿರುದುಳಿಂದ ತಿಳಿದಿದ್ದ ಟಿಪ್ಪುವೇ ಬೇರೆ, ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಸೈನಿಕರ ವೇಷ ತೊಟ್ಟು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಓಡುವ ಟಿಪ್ಪುವೇ ಬೇರೆ. ಇಂತವನನ್ನು, ದೊಡ್ಡ Hero ಮಾಡಿದ ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರಗಳ, ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳ ಶ್ರಮ ಪಾಪ ಬಹಳ ದೊಡ್ಡದು🤣🤣. ಅವನ ಕಾಲಾನಂತರ 223 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಬಳಿಕ ನಮಗೆ ಸತ್ಯ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಕೂಡ ದೊಡ್ಡದೇ!!!.

ಆ ಕಾಲದ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳು ಬಹಳ ಸೊಗಸಾಗಿ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ದಿವಾನ್ ಪೂರ್ಣಯ್ಯ, ಫಾತಿಮಾ, ರುಕಿಯಾ ಬೇಗಂ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳು ಮನ ಮುಟ್ಟುವಂತಿದೆ. 1784 ದೇವಾಟ್ಪರಂಬು ನರಮೇಧ, 1785 ಮೇಲುಕೋಟೆ ನರಮೇಧ, ಮಂಗಳೂರು, ಮಲಬಾರ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಟಿಪ್ಪು ಮಾಡಿದ ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರದ ಮತಾಂತರಗಳು, ಊರು/ನಗರಗಳ ಹೆಸರುಗಳ ಇಸ್ಲಾಂಮೀಕರಣ, ಇದನ್ನೇಲ್ಲ ಅಲ್ಲಾಹ್/ಜಿಹಾದ್/ಇಸ್ಲಾಂಗಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಎಂದು ಟಿಪ್ಪು ಸಮರ್ಥನೆ ನೀಡುವಾಗ, ಟಿಪ್ಪು ಒಬ್ಬ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮತಾಂಧ, ಹುಚ್ಚನೆಂದೇ ನನಗನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡವನ್ನು ಅಳಿಸಿ ಪರ್ಷಿಯನ್ ಭಾಷೆಯನ್ನು ಆಡಳಿತ ಭಾಷೆಯಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಕ್ಷಮಿಸಲು ಆಗದಂತಹ ಅಪರಾಧ. ಅವನು ಏನಾದರೂ 20-30 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ರಾಜನಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ ಕನ್ನಡವೇ ಅಳಿಸಿ ಹೋಗುವ ಕಂಟಕ ನಮಗೆ ಎದುರಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತೇನೋ?. ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋರಾಡಲು ಫ್ರೆಂಚರ ಜೊತೆ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿದ ಟಿಪ್ಪು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯೂ ಭಾರತದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟಗಾರನೇ?? ನಮಗೆ ನಾವೇ ಕೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಿರುವ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ.

ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಡಿನ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ತಿಳಿಯಲು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ನಾಟಕ/ಪುಸ್ತಕ. ಒಮ್ಮೆ ರಂಗದ ಮೇಲೆ ನೋಡಲೇ ಬೇಕಾದ ನಾಟಕ.

Presents some of the facts about Tippu, based on letters he wrote and also from writings of his time. There is also some amount of fictionalization - which may be based on folklore or hearsay. But certainly more trustworthy than a play with a similar name, but which whitewashes the crimes of Tippu.
