I just finished this for the second time and read most of it on a backpacking trip. I enjoyed hearing how Richard could just pick up his life in New York City and move thousands of miles away to do something. He had absolutely no experience with. Well written. Educational and entertaining.

One of my favorite books pertaining to Alaska and living off the land. It is definitely worth reading.
