The illustrations alone are worth every star. A beautiful addition to anyone’s cookbook shelf, this simple, concise cookbook is warm and inviting. The included recipes are uncomplicated and the ingredients accessible! Most people will finds lots of yummy goodness to try. Just be advised…if you are nut-free with serious allergies like me, MANY of these recipes call for peanuts, other nuts, beans, peas, and soy sauce. If you are comfortable with substitutions, great! If not, the choices are limited here.

This is perhaps the most lavishly, beautifully illustrated cookbook I've ever had the privilege to open! The EVERY page is ENTIRELY, from edge to edge, illustrated. I went through it 3 times, before even looking at a recipe...highly unusual for someone who reads cookbooks for fun.

Shelly has a new cookbook coming out this year, again with Roxie Kelly, and I anxiously await publication.
