Young Rosa, actress and pickpocket, is an orphan who long ago stopped dreaming of a family. When she is asked to pretend to be a missing heiress, she falls in love with young Sir William Divine--and Sir William begins to suspect that Rosa really is the missing Rosalind.
I really enjoy Barbara Sherrod's style, and this one showcases a lot of the very best of her humor. I'd give it four stars if only the trial at the end of the story had been a little smoother and the story hadn't come to an abrupt halt afterwards.
