A lover of unusual things, Cheryl Dragon enjoys writing unique stories with sinfully hot erotic romance or suspenseful mainstream paranormals. Never at a loss for ideas, there are plenty of stories in her brain waiting to be written. Her two favorites book settings are Las Vegas and New Orleans...where anything can happen!
Cheryl lives in the Chicagoland area with her deaf albino cat. By day she crunches & analyzes numbers as an Assistant Controller for a division of a large international conglomerate which leaves the creative juices free for her erotic romance and paranormal suspense novels.

Heather's Notes I liked this story and felt it had a good flow. I liked that Eric didn't give up and he kept after Lisa until he "got" his woman. This book had a lot of steam, but also enough of a plot to keep it interesting. I also liked that he came up with ways for them to work out their problems. I felt like Lisa changed her tune rather quickly without any real motivation but it was a short story so... Still a good story I enjoyed.
Of all the Cheryl Dragon's short stories I have read, this was the best so far. What I liked about this book was its story line. I really loved the part where the hero of the story pursued the heroine relentlessly although she was several years older than him. Talk about real love!
Eric Duncan, police officer of the K9 unit, has asked Lt. Liza Zimmer out persistently for the last three years. She was a fellow officer at the Las Vegas Police Department who outranked him, though that didn't deter him from asking her out on a date. But she had always turned him down every time saying that he should ask some twenty-something woman instead, or she would say “date someone from your own decade”! The problem was since he met Liza, he never wanted any woman other than her. He knew she felt something for him too, but their age difference was what stopping Liza from dating him. And he had to do something to make her see that age didn’t matter but what they feel for each other. And what better time to execute his plan. He knew Liza wouldn't turn him down on attending his birthday, would she?
Liza Zimmer had always been aware of Eric Duncan. Even before when he asked her out the first time three years ago and had to turn him down. He was just twenty-seven at that time and knew it wasn’t a good idea. She was thirty-six years old for chrissake! And she wouldn’t want to be the subject of gossip in the department. Another reason, she was quite sensitive when it came to the age thing. Although, she’s got the hots for Duncan, she has suppressed her feelings for those reasons.
But what she hadn’t imagined was that there was a reason why Eric insisted that she came to his birthday party.
Great first Cheryl dragon story to start with. Very funny and sexy. Eric never gives up and I can see were Lisa is coming from with the differences between men and women in a very male work place but I do think she doesn't know her workmates well and they are secretly don't care either way about age and relationships.
