Khan's book is considered the best introduction to the history, beliefs, and practices of one of the world's most widely held religions. He describes fully the Islamic religious practices, and presents in a moving fashion the basic beliefs of Moslems. The author was Pakistan's first Foreign Minister from l947 to 1954. He was a member of the Punjab Legislative Council, served as a delegate to the Indian Round Table Conferences, elected President of the All-India Muslim League He headed the Indian Delegation to the Session of the Assembly of the League of Nations and Following the independence of Pakistan, Khan became Pakistan's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Commonwealth Relations and held several other important governmental offices.
Al-Hajj Sir Chaudhuri Muhammad Zafarullah Khan, KCSI was a Pakistani diplomat, President of the International Court of Justice, Pakistan's first foreign minister, renowned international jurist and a member as well as scholar of the worldwide Ahmadiyya Community. Zafrullah Khan was born on February 6, 1893, in Sialkot, Pakistan, the son of Nasrullah Khan. He graduated from the Government College, Lahore, in 1911. Between 1911 and 1914 he studied at King's College London and was called to the bar at Lincoln's Inn. Returning to India he practised law in Sialkot, until July 1916, and lectured in the Law College, Lahore, during 1919 to 1924, and practised law in Lahore up to 1935.
