I initially found this book while browsing google and decided to see what the intricacies of F1 racing was like. This being my first real nonfiction read made me feel skeptical on whether or not I would enjoy reading a purely informational book. In the end I did end up enjoying it for the insights it gave me to how precise and competitive F1 racing is.

The most important part of what makes this book good is the illustrations of each aspect of an F1 car. The detailed cross section pictures of the car's engine, aerodynamic features, body, and electronics really help the reader to see how intricate and precise the car is and how small design changes can make a great difference to the performance of the car itself.

I recommend this book to anyone that is interested in mechanics or those who just like to deep dive into intricate details. I would also say that this is a good book for those who are beginning their way into specific subjects that not many people talk about.
