Grace-Full Leadership: Understanding the Heart of a Christian Leader

Rate this book
When Christ said, 'Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all' (Mark 10:43-44, NIV), He redefined the world of management for the Christian leader. No longer focused on bottom lines, demographics, and profit margins, Christ presents the paradigm of the washbowl and towel, the heart of a servant.Leadership within the life of the Christian community is, or ought to be, different from the world's ideal of leadership in practice and principle. In Grace-Full Leadership, explore the leadership qualities and practices that are distinct within the community of Christian leadership. Discover, when managing first as a Christian and second as a leader, how your company or organization can grow exponentially in spiritual gains—an eternity of difference from today's capital gains. Great way to consider leadership--from the eyes of grace. With it being written by a university president, I found many applications to my current work.

A Christian based leadership book outlining 10 qualities and 10 traits of a Christian leader.

Mainly, do not be a power-tripping jerk as a leader, but also put God center stage. Most are good advice for leaders in general (take accountability, maintain balance, see the coming storms, etc).

If you are a Christian leader and struggling to find your footing, not a bad read.

I have been sitting on this book for a long time, but the time finally felt right to read it. Plenty of great things inside.

what can I say, I had to read it for school. Nothing really remarkable was written in the book. I actually did read it, and can't remember a thing that he said.
