Rate this book
The man is back!

In this sequel to The Chimerium Gambit, Rook is hired by his old teammate Manuel Ortega to travel to planet Persephone and stem the endemic violence.

Follow this action packed space adventure as Rook pits his legendary tactical genius against a power hungry law enforcement agency director, a radical revolutionary, a heavily biased media, a terrified population, and a shadowy secret society. Can he unravel the secrets that seek to strangle this once vibrant planet? Can he pull the plug on the revolution that robs the people of their homes and jobs? In a society clearly near the breaking point can even the Captain of The Radiation Angels find a way to make a difference?

Read as he desperately struggles to bring an end to the wanton self destruction and save a planet from consuming itself in a spectacular riot of lies and hate. Join the fight as Rook uncovers the machinations that have lead to the downfall Ortega’s home world. He will travel from city to city, far into space, and into the deepest recesses of Persephone.

It is a mystery that will lead across the galaxy, all the way back to Earth, and will ultimately reveal…the Key to Damocles.

Total "line jumper". This arrived in the mail and dashed to the head of the class.

Finished the book last night and I can honestly say that I really enjoyed it.

The characters are strong, it has a good/fast pace and has enough things exploding or crashing to satisfy just about any reader looking for action.

The plot is involved and spans a planet. Without giving any spoilers for those that haven't read it yet (and if you like military sci-fi you should) Capt. Rook leads his mercenary team against everyone from the planetary police force to folks from a movie studio.

I will say I have some concern over where the next book goes from here, but in saying that I am forced to say, YES I'm waiting for the next one to hit the shelves... Mr. Ross can consider this a pre-order for the next chapter in the saga of the Radiation Angels.

Radiation Angels:TKtD is one of the most action packed, well thought out reads I have ever picked up. I had a very hard time putting this text down, the characters were detailed and very well developed, the action was heart-pounding and magnificent.

This Author has created a violent world of crime, grime, and gritty action that is expressed superbly and and seen through the eyes of some of my favorite characters ever.
