È uno di quei libri trovati per caso, coperto di polvere, in un piccolo negozio.
Non ci avrei scommesso un cent, e invece penso di essermi imbattuta in uno dei romanzi più belli di tutta la mia vita.
Gli ingredienti della storia sono quelli giusti: amore, fascino, amicizia, dolore, vendetta e riscatto.
Da scrittrice, invidio molto (in senso buono, si intenda) l'autrice del libro per la sua idea.

I read this book for the first time when it came out (1989/1990). I could not put it down. My sister & I took turns reading it. We would love to see a follow-up to this story. You have a little of everything - romance, action, martial arts, mystery and so much more. I recently picked it up again (had to buy a new copy) to read and it still kept me engaged even thought I have read it many times. You will not be disappointed!

Note: in 2024 there are many things that would currently not happen specifically with technology & social media, so if you read it you will have to keep in mind when it was written & the time period it took place.

Bello, bello e ancora bello.
Grey Coltrane e Khan Sun mi sono entrati nel cuore: non credo di aver mai trovato una coppia letteraria che mi ha emozionato tanto quanto loro.
L'autrice ha creato una storia splendida, che si muove da New York alle Hawaii e che avrei voluto continuasse all'infinito!

crazy long book that goes through every trauma, betrayal, abandonment, and possible let down..... followed by a powerful rewriting of history, self perception, and finding of love ... and a happy ending you'll NEVER see coming. 100% my favorite book

I like it but I don't . Too many perversions and vanities in it for me. But enjoyed the ending as it seemed to redeem itself and put some soul into it. Would like to read it again for that reason but don't know if I can deal with the perversions again. It will sit on my bookshelf until I decide to pick it up again or throw it out

Avevo cercato a lungo questo libro, attirata dal titolo. Una volta aperto però, mi sono accorta che la mia ricerca è stata assurda: mi ricorda un Harmony. Assurdo. Scialbo e con una traduzione pessima che più pessima non si può.
