Very good.

This is a well written explanation of the Episcopal service and what it means and how to get the most out of it. Good for established members as well as those new to the congregation.

I have been familiar with the liturgy of various churches for many years. Most of them have a lot in common. Unfortunately, I have viewed the liturgy primarily as an order of worship, without considering its transformative power. It appears that I am not alone.

After reading this book, I will never look at liturgy in that shallow, narrow way again. While I have always loved the liturgy, I now see it in a new and exciting light. There is more going on than meets the eye. Thanks be to God!

This is an interesting book from a reference perspective, i.e., if you want to learn more about a particular aspect of Episcopal worship. I think it's good to dip in and out of as you want to look things up. It's not really as interesting to read straight through (at least to me).
