A comprehensive accounts of ghosts in Scotland, some centuries old and some recent with history and geography for context. None very long or detailed. Having read Kidnapped last year, I appreciated the historical background more. A fun read if you like Scotland or ghosts.
I had such a great time reading this book. It was recommended to me via a parapsychology reading site and I'm glad I found a copy. My copy is from 1996 and just filled with historical facts and trivia about the entire island of Scotland and outer islands as well.
The ghost tales are broken down by various groupings, such as, 'Green Ladies,' 'Country Houses,' 'Soldiers and Battlefields' etc. So much more in fact. Mr. Love provided us with four maps so that we could follow along on the journey with him.
The Bibliography was complete and gave me many more books to explore.
This book, being my heritage is Scottish, I'm from the Clan of Buccleuch, so this was a true gem for me to find. A very complete listing. So, if you enjoy ghosts and the Celtic lands, this book is for you.
