What I liked most in this volume were 2 different things.
One... Shippo felt like he was unimportant to Inuyasha, so he joined up with a demon girl to oppose and trick Inuyasha in ways that only he could.
The demon girl used Shippo to the strongest extent of the word, and he hated "her" in the end, especially when "she" turned out to be an old male panda demon.
-------------
Two....Koga went forth and battled for the claw weapon that is the treasure of his tribe. The demon guard thought he could trick Koga into leaving his friends behind to achieve power, but he could not. In the end, his honor, bravery, and dedication did indeed win him the weapon.

I know there's more to this story than what I read in Volumes 37-39, but this is all of Inuyasha I'll be reading for awhile unless Edelweiss gives me a chance to read-to-review more IY volumes, since I am not really all that impressed with it.
I liked the Kagura parts the best, and now, she's gone.
