1.5. Man this story dragged. I’m not sure why I continued or finished it. I hated the use of “cos” by both characters. One character was from Ireland and one was an American who is of Irish ancestry. The author is Irish. It is just odd to me the male main uses the word in dialogue. It’s a me thing. If I had to read about how Clare damped her lips one more time I was going to throw the book. The other characters were really hard to deal with at the beginning of the story because they are written like you should just know who they are already from previous books. It was odd. The story is predictable, of course. And for anyone who cares, the female on the cover doesn’t match the female main’s description in the story. It really annoys me. On a final note, does every female from Ireland have red hair? No!!!! Can writers please stop making every Irish woman have red hair?! The author is Irish. Stop stereotyping please. I won’t read anything else by this author.
The plot was a bit all over the place, the hero was possessive of the heroine, but we didn't know that til the end. And it just kinda all wraps up and it doesn't feel satisfying.
Didn't like it, I didn't like that hero had been with so many woman in the year that heroine worked for him. Also just didn't like the plot at all. Np.
One of these days, I am going to figure out why I liked this book so much. Despite some confusion, on my part, about some of the more intimate issues between this couple, it was a good read,
Lovely book. Although I didn't like how it took them forever to realize they were attracted to each other. A lot of wasted moments. I got confused at one point, but the conclusion was superb
