Cute, easy to read book. Each page is poetic and not many words on each page. There are some words about horses tha5 children might not know (there was 1 I did not know too) but there is a word list with definitions on last page to help. Cute book for beginning readers.

Lacy takes a riding lesson with her pony Jack in this book for kids just learning to read. Short, simple sentences in rhyming stanzas are accentuated by sun-bright watercolors of girls and their ponies trotting through a field. Vocabulary words are defined after the story for those who want to know more about ponies and riding.
