But when the girls receive their mid-semester grades, she isn't sure she'll be allowed to continue at Foxhall. To Lauren's relief, her adviser suggests a student tutor, Courtney Stewart. This one used to be my favorite as I really like Lauren and the things and tough choices she goes through in this story. This book was the first time I ever heard about anorexia, and the way the author showed Lauren handling the situation was really well done. I don’t think at 12 these girls should be caring so much about boys and having boyfriends, but I guess this could be normal. I’ll never know because I wasn’t one of those types. 🤷🏼‍♀️😜

Stephanie was a real jerk to her sister, and I found young girls crushing on REALLY old men a little uncomfortable for my taste which has led me to the decision to not read any further in this series as things like this are throughout that I don’t think young girls should be reading and don’t personally feel comfortable recommending. Also the characters tend to make the same dumb choices over and over and never learn among other things I’m just not comfortable with overall.

Content: girls crush on boys and older men; a character has anorexia
