Dalton Corbett's secret past had finally caught up with him and taken residence above Whitehorse's knit shop—owned by the unsuspecting and sweet Georgia Michaels. Although Georgia had no reason to mistrust the woman she'd just rented to, Dalton knew how dangerous and deadly she was…just as he knew that Georgia was the type of girl his mother hoped he'd marry. Unwilling to see Georgia hurt, he devoted himself to ensuring her safety—and the more time he spent with her, the more he realized that she was the woman for him. But would his secrets jeopardize his brothers' marriage pact and put the next Corbett bride in danger?

I knew what I was getting into and yet I act surprised every time. The definition of insanity! Now of all the Harlequin series, Intrigue is known to be the least spicy/sexy/steamy, but the newer ones have more of a romantic feel. The romance felt like an afterthought with this book. Something I'm noticing with this author. What keeps me coming back is the great suspense plots. Hero has a unhinged ex-wife hell bent on stopping him from moving on. Things get crazy in this one.

My only wish was more of a romantic arc or tension between the leads. This book doesn't even feature a trope just real basic romance but excellent suspense.

This was an OK book. Nice, but somehow it didn't really hook me in. I liked the plot and pacing of the book. I thought it made all the right moves, but there was something about the Georgia character that I thought was...off.

Wow what a book! This book is SO different from any thing that I expected from her. I was hooked right from the beginning. I read so late into the night until I couldn't see anymore. This plot was so well done that I really hated to put it down. I loved the characters. Georgia and Dalton were both caught up in a web of deceit. The journey to their HEA was one that should not be skipped.

I loved the dual POV format as well. It is my favorite to read. Getting the characters' perspective is sometimes critical to understanding way they react, do things or say things.

I highly recommend this story.

Wow, there are ex'es and then there is Dalton's soon to be ex-wife...who is insane and a truly evil person. The h was a little weak and almost too good to be true. Her friends and Agnes were strong pluses. Dalton, yes please. Would have liked more chemistry between Dalton and Georgia but the story was great and I enjoyed it.

awesome read

Another suspense filled book from Ms Daniels. Surprisingly Dalton and Georgia hadn’t crossed ways before now. Agnes seemed like the main character after lightning struck her.

Romance is not what you are thinking about!

Romance is not what you are thinking about in reading this story, more like derangement, deception and danger mixed with the mystic of some promotion and yet love does happen! Great story!

A good little mystery and romance story set in Whitehorse, Montana. Dalton Corbett has a secret, a wife Nicci, who he thought was dead. But he saw her at Georgia Michael's knitting store. This was bad news. He hadn't seen her in 9 years and he needed to get a divorce, now. Nicci is dangerous and if Georgia befriends her she could be in real trouble. Interesting story!
