About the author

Erwin W. Lutzer is senior pastor of The Moody Church in Chicago. A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary and Loyola University, he is the author of numerous books, including the Gold Medallion Award winner "Hitler's Cross" and the best seller "One Minute After You Die". He is also a teacher on radio programs heard on more than 700 stations throughout the United States and the world, including "Songs in the Night," "The Moody Church Hour," and the daily feature "Running to Win." He and his wife, Rebecca, live in the Chicago area and have three married children and seven grandchildren.

This book teach me about women in the bible and what they gone through. And what i still have to learn from them is to love God with all your heart even if it's like Esther before the king. And Esther to this day i am still learning how to be like her in movie's and in book's alike.

Lutzer and wife re how Jesus raises the level of women; read it again in 2010

The subtitle for this book is "Seeing yourself through God's eyes," and for the most part, that's exactly what Erwin and Rebecca Lutzer help the reader do by showing us how Jesus interacted with various women during His earthly ministry. However, the last chapter deviates sharply from the protocol implemented up to that point, and it took me quite by surprise. For the sake of spoilers, I won't go into more detail here, but I can't help but give this brief mention since the final chapter is still fresh on my mind. That said, this is an excellent book, and I highly recommend it.

Are you hurting, rejected, misunderstood, lonely or just searching for your place in this world? Or do you know someone who is? Reading this book has made a difference in my life and I know it can be for others as well. Buy it for yourself or for a gift or request it from the library as I did. You won't regret it. At one time or another all women have endured or have witnessed prejudice or indifference. This book has shown me that no one is alone and as women Jesus cares so deeply for us. Traditionally women have been left out of personal contributions to the churches. The reader can relate and take something from each chapter even if the title may not apply to you. Each chapter has prayers at the end and bible passages and stories that correspond with the topic being addressed. The reader gains an exclusive glimpse into the lives of other women whose stories are highlighted in the chapters. Very inspiring and comforting I highly recommend this to others.
