The Key To Everything: Classic Lesbian Love Poems

Rate this book
The powerful selection of forty-four classic lesbian love poems in this collection by no means adheres to the simple "love poem" formula. A broad range of moods and experiences is presented here-celebratory, erotic, passionate, humorous, tender, and wry. The diversity of voices represented in this volume provides constant suprises-forty-four nuanced, singular treatments of this age-old theme from a lesbian perspective.

Each poem was an entire narrative in itself.
For such a compact volume, they each spoke to a larger story across the ages.

Very beautiful and inspiring book. One of my ultimate favorites. A sweet and short little read that helped me discover and embrace my sexuality and who I am!

Oh god, this book made me so happy! I discovered so many new poets (like Chrystos and Dorothy Allison) through this book! It's short and sweet, the perfect size for carrying around in your pocket, and the poems therein are bright and juicy, perfect for reading aloud to a woman you are trying to woo.

This is a sweet little book of poems. Although not all of the poems seem to be outwardly lesbian-oriented, they are certainly all love poems. There are some poems that are clearly for women by women, too. It's a nice mix of subtle and not-so-subtle poetry that any woman would love to receive as a gift from her special someone.
